Health Insurance Ombudsman details and experiences

Hi

Does anyone know the details/telephone number for the health insurance ombudsman in switzerland? I have googled found a site but there is only an online contact form.

Also has anyone had any experience taking a matter to the ombusdman and had a successful outcome? My health issuance have been consistently appalling, constantly denying coverage even though I pay them a small fortune a month for semi private cover. I am not going to take this next punch lightly

Re: Health Insurance Ombudsman

Thanks for those details, I was in a rush and stressed panic this morning looking for them, obviously didn't look hard enough

Anyway called and the man i spoke to was extremely pleasant and friendly. I have to send my complaint and photocopies of everything to them in writing

Has anyone gone through this procedure? Is it a long process? have you had successful outcomes and beaten the money grabbing rotten b@stard health insurance (I'm not bitter )

Would love to hear of any experiences

Cheers
Nicky

As a first step before going to ombudsmen, a telephone call with a manager or a certified letter with 'threats' of going to ombudsman or kassensturz can often work wonders.

Thanks, did that this morning, threatened to go higher up and go to the ombudsman, just called insurance company back and guess what? 'oh the letter was a mistake all is fine'

grrrrr

this is the 4th incident in 2 and a half years of them not paying, refusing to pay, making me pay for hospital stays etc...

I am still tempted to take the case to the ombudsman AFTER i have got new insurance - it's been 2 years of constant stress of will they or wont they cover this or that
