Re: Mysterious deaths of birds and fish

I can only guess....but my guess is pollution... it is 1 of the main things that each place has in common..... there is of course the old "coincidence" factor and each case may have no connection.....

Re: Mysterious deaths of birds and fish

It could be a problem of the recent weather patterns we encountered, birds and fishes migrate from climate zones to another, if the weather patterns change and become more extreme, this can lead to a birds / fishes migrating longer than usual which cause them to die.....also it happened before that if when they lose orientation and direction, they can mass suicide which is un understandable why.

Another thing that could cause such weird behavior is the existence of high electro magnetic waves......i'm not sure if there were any at the moment

birds deaths could be caused by extensive use of intense light pulsed epilations.

How did they get to Cornwall - road or train?
Wouldn't people have noticed 500 blackbirds in a National Coach, heading for a George Jones style suicide pact?

hedgie... here I go coming over all pedantic again... I think you mean Jim Jones , not George Jones .... that is unless they had a country music jamboree before breaking out the Kool-aid

They had been listening to George Jones, and then out drinking with him .. that's why they topped themselves ...

Yes, it's a tad embarrassing when you get your jims and georges mixed up. I will pay more attention next time ...

However only you noticed it !!

When I was living in Cornwall, people in the area started getting mouth ulcers and some people's hair turned blue after washing it.
It transpired that 20000 gallons of Aluminium sulphate had accidentally been poured into the water supply .

knowing that area of cornwall it probably improved the IQ

And which area of Cornwall is that? Do you actually know?
Grynch, where are you??? I need back up!!

There was a case just a couple of years ago where some Alum.sulphate from a clay operation got dumped in the river Fowey and killed a large number of fish...no human involvement that I know of and as I say it was quite recent... not as long ago as mr P is referring to.

let me see what I can dig up.

EDIT::: this is all I can find quickly.. and I'm pretty sure this turned out to be as result of illegal dumping...

if you want specifics i can do that from memory.... lower moor water treatment works, bodmin moor july 1988 (which is north cornwall BTW) . it was an unmanned station at the delivery time and the alum sulphate went into the wrong tank, a pure human factor error by the tanker driver.

yes i do actually know and quite well

rob, interesting... I'd be interested in reading more on this... can you reference any source ( yes I know it's your memory but as stated I'd like to find out more )

"lower moor treatment works"... do you know what village or hamlet would be near to this?

Re: Mysterious Birds & fishes Death

not really any link to hand but there are some reports on the net available i guess.

the treatment works are on the approcah road to the reservior, have a look for a village called tregoodwell, follow road thru village, thru another group of houses then take a left at the main cross roads, water treatment is on the LH side after about 200 metres

Very dumb dumb question here... How fireworks can be responsable of the dead of fish and crabs?

Waterproof fireworks...
These days, everything is possible with technology...

I don't think fireworks are responsible for their death. These birds would have been very unlucky to get hit by fireworks. One or two... why not... but more than 500...

There must be something floatting in the air which also affects the water.
Maybe it was first in the air and then, if it rains, It will poison the water too.

I am very curious to know the end of this weird story.

I doubt they are alluding to direct impact being the cause of the deaths. From what I could gather, they were implying that the loud noise and light from the fireworks disorientated the birds, leading to collisions mid air between the birds, or something similar.

1 large mortar firework and the resulting shockwave would knock out birds in the immediate zone.
you feel the shockwave at firework displays from hundreds of metres away.

Maybe North Korea has something to do with this

I know what you mean, it could be possible as there is no trace of impact on the birds.

Yes I have felt this shockwave hundreds of times my throughout my life (use to live near Disneyland) And not once have I seen a dead bird as a result from this. Lets not forget that the first dead bird scene happend in a little Arkansas hick town. Anything that shoots 10ft in the air would be considered the grand finale.

Lets not forget the fish too. One could say that the chemtrails could in theory contaminate the water supply. But I like facts and after living in Colorado for over 10 years I can say that flaming faucets green mud showers are in fact, a fact. Thanks Bush. Drill baby drill, after all its "natural" gas.

Oh yes, I remember that incident in fact! Something similar could have happened in the recent fish incident I guess.

Regarding your IQ comment, I would imagine that the average is lowered significantly due to the seasonal influx of emmits ...
