They can make the same comments on their own "walls" with impunity. She just doesn't want to see them on her own "wall".
Nothing abnormal or wrong about that.

Nothing abnormal or wrong about that. | | | | | I guess it's just an ingrained American thing that if someone's going to post an opinion on a politician's public facebook page, it just shouldn't be deleted.
However, I admit, there sure were a lot of angry facebook "friends" which put her in a bad light and, being Sarah Palin, she only get's photographed in the best of light.

This is getting silly DB- what a shame, really. Nobody is saying that she pulled the trigger, or even that she is responsible as such - but many of us are saying that the gunsight on some heads on her FB is irresponsible as it might have an effect on some viewers who are mentally sick/deranged, like this young guy.

This incident is like all Mr Obama's birthdays and Christmases rolled into one. I bet he's clapping his hands with glee at it all.

Now please don't tell me you believe HE has arranged the whole thing just to help his cause. Now this is getting truly ridiculous. |

But I don't believe that any of them were particularly upset at the news, either.
This is politics, Odile. It's a nasty business.

Oh, won't somebody think of the children! | | | | | It's either mismanagement or an inhumane attitude on the part of her staff. Neither of these are good things to see in a would-be-president's staff. It's a nice glimpse into the mindset of Palin's team and her supporters.

This bigotry has been quoted by the sheriff of Tucson as having contributed to an atmosphere in which political violence (including the vandalism of the Congresswoman's office) takes place.
Palin and her kind of stop rousing the rabble. It's dangerous. This kind of wingnut violence has been forecast for a long time.

I was in Arizona not long ago, and many hold anti-Obama and Gifford's stance virulent and vitriolic in the extreme. I would have never believed it had I not witnessed it myself.

Oh, won't somebody think of the children! | | | | | Well done you got one of the very few groans that I ever give out.
I do think of the children, I do think about the 9 year-old girl, what kind of society is this when people attend fundraisers with this message: | Quote: | | | | Jesse Kelly, meanwhile, doesn’t seem to be bothered in the least by the Sarah Palin controversy earlier this year, when she released a list of targeted races in crosshairs, urging followers to “reload” and “aim” for Democrats. Critics said she was inciting violence.
He seems to be embracing his fellow tea partier’s idea. Kelly’s campaign event website has a stern-looking photo of the former Marine in military garb holding his weapon. It includes the headline: “Get on Target for Victory in November. Help remove Gabrielle Giffords from office. Shoot a fully automatic M16 with Jesse Kelly.”
The event costs $50. | | | | | http://azstarnet.com/news/local/govt...7f1778a47.html
The Tea Party is an embarrassment to the Republican Party and many Republicans do not want to be associated with it in any form.
What will Palin do now if she can't sell the wild west frontier woman rootin', tootin' shootin' 2nd amendment speel? I mean other than that there isn't much to her, doesn't know the issues, can't remember or pronounce names. She won't be doing a TV show rerun- that's kind of gone cold. Hopefully this will turn the Republican party back to decent debate. |

You do surprise me, GG. | | | | | I don't think you'll find the progressive wing of the Democrats, nor any UK party being insensitive to the idea of political violence.

You accuse GG of knocking the US and transplanting her ideas, but you are also guilty of transplanting your right-wing conservative ideals into tea party defending. Got a gun yet ofr evey 10 Americans there are 8 guns, so it is very likely that the people you are visiting have them and they are not all avid hunters.

Get the liberal, the african-American and (most importantly) the Hispanic votes for free ("anything-but-Paylin") move to the middle, garner some votes from moderate republicans= win.
Ads:
"When the going gets though, Palin is going"
"They don't even like her in her home state"
Choosing Paylin was the biggest error made by McCain. The right-wingers who support her would never vote democrat anyway, so why let the chance of appealing to some other voter groups pass and select a running mate that "helps" you get votes from people who vote for you anyway?

I don't give a monkey's about the Tea Party. I'm just pointing out the hilarity of the situation, that's all. Lone lunatic goes on the rampage, political types gleefully seize on the situation to further their own agendas, people from Zurich to Zanzibar get worked up about it, then they move on to brown sugar and dishwasher tablets and a mom and a dad mourn their daughter for the rest of their lives. Great stuff. Better than telly, this is. | Quote: | | | | Got a gun yet ofr evey 10 Americans there are 8 guns, so it is very likely that the people you are visiting have them and they are not all avid hunters. | | | | | Na... und? |
