Re: Egypt- "Jan25_ Day of revolution"

Yalla! Yalla! El sha3b yourid isqat el nidham!*

It took 17 days to push Mubarak outside the country, not bad and quite an improvement after 30 days in tunisia. Great to see how from tweeting to shouting at Tahrir square forges the future of egypt.

3 Million people in Tahrir square and neighbouring streets and bridges.

*: the population wants to topple the regime

Re: Egypt- "Jan25_ Day of revolution"

The crowds are going crazy in Cairo, CNN say that Muburak is expected on TV withing the hour to announce that he is stepping down. It seems that the strikes were the last straw. They want the Egyptian money back.

Mohammed El Baradei- "we are almost there"

All I can think is that the evil Jafar must go

Is Mubarak gone yet or is more tweeting needed ?
Egypt has been ruled by "Pharaohs" for 5000 years - it will take more than demonstrations to change that.
So Mubarak will hand over to another "strong man" who will have "elections".
Switch your TV on Pashosh the 10th plague (Suleiman) might be about to step in. Or not, Suleiman still says that Muburak is not stepping down!

Re: Egypt- "Jan25_ Day of revolution"

Egyptian TV is informing about suing members of former government and NDP party for corruption...quite a long list of political leaders.
in background live feed of Tahrir square. Signs that power changed hands.

Indeed! To see the national television telling what is going on without censorship is a huge change in the political situation!

Protesters are waving their shoes at Mubarak which is one of the most insulting gesture to do in the Arab mentality.

This has to be a ploy-something to do with the transfer of funds? He will leave on sickness grounds yet still be in power to transfer money

Some people just don't know when to give up!! He thinks he will put right all the wrongs for the last 30 years in a few months so he can leave as a hero!!!!

Its time for the army to take control and force him out before it all turns into chaos..

He tricked all of us...He's stupider than we had originally thought
He reckons that his emotional speeches will somehow do the trick??!!? He's talking about leading Egypt in a war that took place 40 yrs ago?? Most protesters were born in a period of peace and don't give a sh*t about any war heroes...

Can't believe such an autistic is in power. The guy is totally deaf and stubborn. Huge anger in Tahrir, they call on march towards presidential palace. Alexandria thousands people in street to ask him to leave.

The longer he does this the worse it will get. The people are trying to move somewhere- they have to organize and decide.
