At least we both agree your hero is a criminal.

As for Israel breaching the contract - A civilised country would wait for the investigation about the terrorist attack from Sinai. Should Egypt decide to cancel the peace treaty Mubarak's time in office will be remembered as a golden era. shame.
Egypt's SCAF / Govt demanded joint investigation and official apology, Israeli government was to arrogant to accept this from them and refused both demands.....they got 1 week of protests as warning, no one did anything....voila, people raided the embassy...this is how it works now post mubarak era, take it or leave it

Take it this way, how it works in Egypt now is: Extreme events demands extreme measures...as simple as this

You can find it on Haaretz & Ynet, Israeli officials said: Israel will investigate and send results to Egypt

it's a one way investigation and we have to accept results!!!!...don't think, not anymore....it's dead simple now, Israeli have to care much more about the Egyptian streets rather than the Egyptian Govt.

As per usual with mowvich, facts are rarely a feature of your posts. Israel agreed to a joint investigation into the terrorist attack from Egypt and it's aftermath.

But one thing is correct - the Egyptian mobs (the famouns "Arab street") now have a large say in Egypt policy.

Egypt's chances of moving up from "2$ a day" country are sliding.

A country that attacks an embassy is a country without honour. People who defend such activity are also without honour.

I thought that honour & hospitality to guests were important in Egyptian culture; no longer it seems.

BTW Defense Minister Ehud Barak did apologise on 20th August. Quote "The Egyptian government said late Saturday Israel's apology was welcome".

Even if Israel had not apologised it would still not be any excuse for this.

Very sad - but if you can no longer rely on international agreements & local security services to protect you
It just needs a mob to randomly decide, for example, the Swiss are not doing enough to return Mubarek assets & then ...........................

Our army have been chasing drug dealers in the area since this afternoon, this is confirmed news, no need for the IDF to freak out and mourn like a lady, let us do the job

Quote "Egypt is on high alert after an attack by hundreds of protesters on the Israeli embassy in Cairo left three people dead and hundreds injured. "

I do not hear anything about mobs in Israel attacking the Egyptian embassy?

I guess that shows the difference between a civilised country & 3rd/4th world countries?
Israel at the other hand has not just deposed an increasingly dictatorial ruler. Quite to the contrary, as much as I disagree with much of the Israeli politics, fact is that Israel now has a respectable tradition of a law-state. A law-state which now goes back for 62 years !

Embassies have been attacked at times in countries in Western Europe as well. And both the Egyptian interim government and the Egyptian opposition have clearly and unconditionally CONDEMNED this attack. So please abstain from talking as if Egypt as a country had condoned this !

You see, this exactly is the WONG approach

> our family made holidays in Spain in spite of knowing that the Generalissimo Franco was a heavy-handed dictator
> I was on holidays in Hungary in spite of knowing that Mr Kadar was a communist dictator
> I was on holidays in Sudan in spite of knowing that Mr Numeiry was a dictator
> I was on holidays in Algeria in spite of knowing that Houari Boumediène was a dictator
> I was on holidays in Tunisia in spite of knowing that Ben Ali was a dictator
> I was on holidays in Egypt in spite of knowing that Messr Sadat and Mubarak were 50% one-man democracies
> I was on holidays in Yemen in spite of knowing that General Ghashmi was a dictator
> I was on holidays in the UAE and Jordan in spite of knowing that the rulers were not democratic
> I continually visited Italy in spite of knowing that their Prime Minister is a crook
> I continued to consume Californian Chardonnay in spite of regarding Bush Junior as a crook

You should not make political conditions about the country you consider to visit. Egypt now is safe, and your visit will help that country and will give you some nice experiences.

On the day of the Wedding of the Pope I will purchase that bottle of champagne I never dared to buy and I will invite the Egyptian ambassador to TLV for a party

Would more impressive if their security forces had reacted more quickly & without Obama's personal intervention.

Revolution or no revolution - Egypt works on bribes and Tanatawi is no exception. Until Obama threatend the yearly Bakshish he wouldn't lift a finger.

Please be realistic. "Pashosh" is quite right when stating that most of the Egyptian Security Forces are crap . They generally react within 72 hours

Again, to visit countries ruled by dictators A) does not mean that you support the dictator(s) and B) does not mean that you accept every rubbish those gents say
