Even more interesting, it seems that 20 years later, we've come full cycle.
Taliban once again at the helm in Afghanistan - though it remains to be seen if they're "more moderate" this time or just "same-same but different".
Even more absurd is that it seems likely that the US "needs" the Taliban to fight ISIS-K.
Which would put the relationship right back to when it all started, when the US supplied weapons to UBL and friends to fight the USSR.
And if that wasn't enough it looks like the Taliban are trying to take a page from the post-WW2-days book of the King of Afghanistan, by getting the USSR and China to compete for influence, money, aid in exchange for access to natural resources.
As for the conspiracy theories...

The problem is that most of the original documents mentioned in the videos have by now vanished from the internet.
And some claims are hard to verify, because, again, it's 20 years.
E.g. there's the claim that a Bush-relative was running security in the Twin-Towers (and the bomb-sniffing dogs were gone the days before 9/11) - but what I could find was the contract was terminated a while before 9/11.
One of the more prominent figures of the 911-truthers movement is/was a janitor in the Twin Towers, who also happened to be a part-time magician.
He said that "magic" is just diversion and you can play even the most absurd trick, if the diversion is large or loud enough.
