She then informed me that pet was the French word for fart.
So when I saw this sign at the swimming pool, it really meant that they didn't want the pool turning into a jacuzzi (?).

PET - is certainly confusing to many. Our school kids thought it was very cruel that special bins were available here in CH for PET.
Our daughters favourite French song as toddlers (in UK) was
Au claire de la lune
j'ai pèté dans l'eau
ça faisait des bulles
c'était rigolo

Women DO fart and it can frigging well burn your eyeballs out sometimes; just ask my kids what a "Colmar" is.

Pet is a funny word in French, I can't seem to manage a class to stop giggling when the question "So, do you have any pets?" come...Rot is another one, they always want to show me what both pet and roter mean, ugh.

It's probably just an over reaction. This will all eventually blow off over...

Sometimes one can't help but let loose a little one, even in a romantic setting...
