Apparently, Beyonce is one of the Gaddaffi family favorites. She could have taught the Amazon girls a few moves.

Berlusconi gifted a Danish IC4 train to the Libyan leader for 40 years of achievement in Arabic:

Swiss air for Libyan dictator...

No, not the airline. But I found this gem:

While there was always "officially" some major drama between Switzerland and Libya did some company from Uster (!) happily maintain the air supply of his version of the Führerbunker... at 1.40...

Just because the components are from Switzerland and USA does not mean they were installed or maintained by the same.

Re: Libya - 17 Feb "Day of wrath"

Been reading Cameron's sabre rattling about dealing sternly with Gadaffi closely followed by the announcements of big reductions in UK armed forces. This Cameron guy cannot possibly even believe himself when spouting such contradictions.
Looks like the SAS could be sent into Libya on a mission impossible face saving exercise for Cameron.

Lord help us all.....

Often times we like to think that we are living in harmonial peace -I did-and see absolutely no need for a strong military but here it comes. Lunatics such as Kaddafi still exist and thus there will always be a need for men in uniform.

Re: Libya - 17 Feb "Day of wrath"

US Naval forces are being dispatched to the region, as a contingency. Pentagon says it is for possible humanitarian effort. Reactionists are saying, "There goes the US again going after the oil."

But the US does not get its oil from Libya. Europe is the main consumer of Libyan oil.

Tell me then Einsteins, why the US is going through the trouble?

The Chinese are sending a frigate to Libya - Even Qaddafi should get the message by now.

Geez, can you imagine the potential mess?

I've come to the conclusion that governments are simply Drama production companies, playing against each other, to elevate their importance.

I suspect that if one day, all governments of the world were to simply vanish, we would have a long period of peace.

Somalia doesn't have a government (Lebanon is not far behind)- hardly peaceful.

replace governments by dictators and I'll agree with you

Apparently not, as he's celebrating today 34 years of "power to the people"..
