Lol. You didn't take astronomy, did you? The earth laughs at nukes. Hell, cockroaches laugh at nukes. The earth will be fine. Good riddance to the people. But we will never find out what happens to Vincent Chase.
Ha! You have never heard of the Osterhagen Project then?

Re: Countdown to WW3.

Question is of course, when are you going to stop talking about it and try to stop it. I guess 'you heard it here first...' etc won't ever be sâid or heard.

Can't we give them an ASBO or stop their IMF benefits for a week if they threaten anybody? That should do it.

I love conspiracy theories I've worked for governments and defense companies and can hand on heart say they don't know there arses from the elbows, they really couldn't organise a p**s up in a brewery let alone have the forethought to buy land in a strategic location for an invasion plan years in advance. Governments plan no further ahead then the next election, defense companies plan no further ahead then the next election / AGM. but if you want to believe in the new world order, knock yourself out lol just remember hollywood films arn't real!!
Funny that, being as some weapons take ten or so years to plan and build. And invasion plans are often sitting on the shelf waiting to be used. Im pretty sure the Isreali Government can organise a bit more than a pi$$ up - it didn't do too badly in the six day war, for example.

Perhaps the level you worked at, I'm guessing lowly IT but please correct me, didn't give you the security clearance to know what they were planning years in advance. No offense, but I doubt youd be on here posting if they did. Yes, I'm pretty sure that's the case.

Re: Countdown to WW3.

Good evening folks! From certain sources I know that the peace will prevail for sure. Why? Coz I say so!

There's nothing just as bad as talking about another global conflict.
There's nothing better than proclaiming everlasting peace.

For every negative notion, there must be balance in form of hope restored.

Re: Countdown to WW3.

March 11 - Day of Rage in Saudi Arabia, which if gains momentum, will be the "Mother of All Days of Rages"

In my personal opinion, fate of all these Revolutions in the Middle East and the future will be decided in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Trust Al Qaeda, Taliban, Radicals, Extremists, Moderates, Mickey Mouse, Iranians, Libyans, Turkey (all have scores to settle and interest in the outcome of it) Uncle Sam and his Nepehews, ALL out in full force there. Whatever the outcome, a lot of things would change.

Just a brief recap of history, King Faisal of Saudi Arabia and Col Ghaddafi, back in 70s were trying to build an "Arab Block" to keep the fruits of Oil wealth in the Middle East along with some others and also founded OIC. King Faisal got assassinated, Col Ghaddafi survived couple of assassination attempts in one of which his adopted daughter died and has been living a paranoid life ever since.

Trust Oil prices to shoot through the roof, breaking previous records and if you are a betting man (currency trader) Dollar and shares in Oil companies will go up in the short term atleast. Though I think they already have gone up. I will start looking for business opportunities in Iran already, trying to be next Marc Rich

Where is Laurence of Arabia?

Now, if they would only hand out MDMA, the whole region would errupt into a giant dripping mess of empathy. Problem solved.

Tunisia - Violent impromptu revolution and the President had to flee the country.
Egypt - Protestors asking for the President to resign, but soon realise that does not help and asking for Reforms.
Iraq - Protestors not asking for a the change of Rule but political reforms and better living conditions/standards.
Libya and Ghaddafi is a basket case anyway.

You forgot to add Kuwait to the list. Potentially Iran may become allied wiith Kuwait; which straqtegically may become a major loss to the US both in terms of oil and bases.
I still have't been a ble to find out if the Saudis got the final agreement for their massive US arms deal.

In the meantime the Iranians parade the fact that they still have the FBI agent and the hikers.

I see everything falling into place in the Middle East in one year- but then I am an optimist. The main problem at resent is that the av price of a gallon is hitting $4 in the US. If it goes much higher it could be a catalyst for an economic downturn amongst a cautious recovery. Kuwait may temporarily send it higher. If investors lose faith in the US to be solvent then things could really go South, but I don't think it will happen. What do the Middle-eastern countries cry when they're on the verge of Revolution? "Mr.Obama help us!" I never heard them call " Mr. Bush help us!" Many of the intellectuals who feed the minds of Middle-Eastern freedom fighters are in US universities. It's all about winning hearts and minds. Obama has a heart and a mind.

Anderson Cooper asked the Libyans - wat are these hallucinogenic pills, they couldn't say. A couple of days later gave a video as evidence showing the pills, however they had made a mistake- the pills that they were showing were painkillers. (Tramadol) which if taken in large enough quantities could perhaps produce hallucinations. I was wondering if it was in fact Ghaddafi's personal supply.

Re: Countdown to WW3.

yeah, it was probably his supply falling into the wrong hands.

Al Quadia sell drugs to fund their operations; I imagine they would be pretty miffed to find out someone giving them away for free. Kaddaffi is permenantly high, judging from his actions, behaviour and dillusional and dysfunctional rambings. Why doesn't someone spike him with a really big dose of Ketamine?

Kuwait is a "less than 24 hour" job

Kuwait or any Arab country wont ally with Iran on the upper level, but people might as they are pissed off with the state of things and Iran is promising, also Turkey.

Oil price has to go high, you know all those Dollars printed to provide Quantitative "Ease"? Well they, somehow, have to make their way into the economy without affecting the demand and value of Dollar

Havent seen anyone, throwing them off from a Helicopter!

Right, and think of all the windfall tax revenues governments receives from fuel taxes. At this rate, why would they fix it?

Fuel Taxes are mostly paid by consumers, so not sure where would "Windfall" tax come in. The State taxing itself for the higher "windfall"?

But anyway, oil prices would go up naturally if there is disruption in Supply i.e. any trouble in Middle East.

But anyhow, new developments are taking place and with them new facts:

US wanting a Military action in Libya.

Russia hinting at Vetoing it in UN. (Russian companies have a nifty operation going, supplying Libyan Crude to Europe anad elsewhere, helping to bypass the UN Embargo) whereas US Big Oil has no share of it.

Iran has warned against any such "adventure" by anyone in the region.

China reluctant and waiting as it has deep economical involvement in Libya, also raising its Military budget for this year.

It can get "interesting" in no time

Re: Countdown to WW3.

World War 3 would actually solve a lot of problems for the world and especially world leaders:

1) The world is over populated and there will be a shortage of food and water.
A war would get rid of a substantial amount of the population and solve this problem.

2) For all those convinced of Global Warming; less people will cause less carbon emissions and less demand for beef and hence need for cows that fart and said to be so responsible for global warming.:

3) It would detract attention form the economic crisis that has really just started and make it irrelevant.

4) A war will create productivity during the war and then th rebuilding after the war.

However, the question is who will trigger it and who will be the contenders?

West vs East (USA vs China) because USA is in such debt to China?
or Christians vs Muslims?
