Bargain of the year: £1.2 million Stradivarius violin for £100

Thieves who stole South Korean born violinist, Min-Jin Kym's Stradivarius in London, tried to sell it for a hundred quid.

The violin has yet to be found!

Insurances offer 15000 pounds. That is one crap reward.

And the insured value of the Violin is only 750k, the price she paid for it initially. Ouch.

This reminds me of a pub I used to sometimes go to - on the South Bank, near the Royal Festival Hall - called the "Fake Stradivarius".
It was quite a trendy hostelry, but, unfortunately, after it changed hands, it became run-down and a bit of a dive.
It eventually had to change it's name (under threat of prosecution by Trading Standards for false representation - now "The Fiddle"), because it had turned into a real vile inn.
