God! Again. It's definitely not a good year for Japan and we are just in the first quarter!

Re: Earthquake in Japan - 8.9 on richter

Reports are between 6.6 and 7.0 for this one. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/42525638

I hope that this settles down soon. I could not imagine living in Japan with that threat, wondering that very slight tremor could be 'the big one'.

New footage of the Tsunami

Quote:
Yu Muroga was doing his job making deliveries when the 11 March 2011 earthquake hit in Japan. Unaware, like many people in the area, of how far inland the Tsunami would travel, he continued to drive and do his job. The HD camera mounted on his dashboard captured not only the earthquake, but also the moment he and several other drivers were suddenly engulfed in the Tsunami. He escaped from the vehicle seconds before it was crushed by other debris and sunk underwater. His car and the camera have only recently been recovered by the police. The camera was heavily damaged but a video expert was able to retrieve this footage

Remembering Japan..
Yes I remember too...was a normal Friday afternoon in my office in Tokyo..I didn't even realise it was starting as I came out of a meeting...was walking to my desk and saw people standing up in the cubicles...asked me if I felt anything...I said no...and then the jolting started...could not stand still without holding something, it was surreal and not terrifying till afterwards when I saw what the Tsunami had done to those up north....

The people there have strength like I've never seen...
