That's what's being said. But does it stand even a rough plausibility test?

According to this article in taz.de Russia killed roughly twice as many civilians than the western coalition since September, in both cases 1/4 were children.

Now, a fair comparison includes the number of raids (bombs or amount of explosives dropped would be better but raids will do). 9000 raids for Russia during the last five months, how many by the west? No idea, a quick search didn't yield any useful info.

Thus a quick plausibility test:
Russia claims to have destroyed 'more than' 1000 oil transport trucks vs 'almost' 400 by the west since september. Assuming everything else equal that actually implies that Russia caused proportionately LESS civilian victims than the west.

But of course nobody could mention that as it would make it difficult to paint Putin as the manic brute he's being portraited as.
Well Russia themselves distributed videos of their helicopters with people pushing bombs out of the doors which is not so exact a delivery method.

I will try to find the links.

Accuracy is a function of height and speed. Choppers are vastly slower than jets.

Not sure how high they're flying but guessing by their size in the vid a jet is quite unlikely to fly any lower when dropping bombs - quite the contrary.

At the U.N, business as usual: Can't condemn Syria (Putin won't like it), let's condemn Israel. Note to the U.N: please check where UNDOF is currently positioned and why.

Note to Pashosh: Please check "Israel's" current events record before suggesting a mythical norm of "Israeli" innocence and righteousness…
Following Adalah and Addameer's Supreme Court Petition:Autopsy Conducted on Body of Palestinian Minor Mu’taz Ewisat
«[P]reventing the family from conducting an autopsy only reinforces the strong suspicions that the police have tampered with the evidence and impeded the process of investigation.»

«[I]n this case the police are refusing the autopsy, which raises suspicions of a criminal act and an attempt to tamper with evidence and thwart an investigation before it could begin … the police are in a serious conflict of interests as both the party preventing the autopsy and the party suspected of an unlawful killing.»
Another routine execution by Israeli troops
«[N]ew video captures the moment an Israeli soldier executes a Palestinian man lying injured on the ground. Fellow officers treat the incident as just another routine execution.»
Decades on, Israel tries to bury its darkest times
«Details of the biggest massacre committed by Israeli soldiers during the 1948 war have finally surfaced, decades after the documentation was locked away. Israel is still trying to silence its army's whistleblowers, even in an age of 24-hour news and social media.»

Re: Syria - It ain't over till it's over

An Istanbul court has ruled that well-known Turkish journalists Can Dündar and Erdem Gül will stand trial behind closed doors on charges of espionage and divulging state secrets.

Source

The state secrets were that Turkey was delivering weapons to ISIS

Now the trial will be held in secret

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-35888723
Syrian Govt. sources are claiming victory in Palmyra.
"The military source said the site was likely “rigged with explosives” and being watched by nearby Isis snipers.

Russia was “widely involved in the battle for Palmyra, whether in fighting directly on the ground, with their planes, or by intercepting communication” among Isis fighters, the source said

Reading notes on The League Of Nations yet again, along with the Treaty of Versailles and the Sykes-Picot Agreement.

Can Russia really be seeking to correct the 'wrongs' they felt they were dealt 100yrs ago?

It seems that Russia isn't really pulling out of Syria - many ground troops, air & naval remain. Assad's regime is still on life support.

The definition of Gentleman doesn't include bombing your own civilian hospitals or using nerve gas

If the opposition to Assad will rule Syria they are unlikely to be much better.

As usual in the Arab world - the choice is between dictatorship or bloody chaos.

Thankfully.

Hopefully after they are done clearing the land-grabbing opportunist ISIS bastards, they will head to the Southwest and deal with the other land-grabbing opportunistic terrorists.

If you want to be completely accurate, there is no sense in including only the Arabs in your analysis.

The Middle East. Where the majority of the residents speak a Semitic language and have a very similar cultural history.

So you invented a erm which is both inaccurate (Alegria, for example, is not in middle east, but speaks a semitic language) and wrong - There is one country in the middle east which isn't a dictatorship nor a bloody chaos.
Focusing on the wrongdoings of this country while ignoring it's far worse neighbors is a common problem.

You're correct. I should have included all Semitic-language speaking countries. I was only referring to where these languages originated.

That's very hypocritical of you. When have I said that the predominantly-Arab speaking countries have not committed wrongdoings? I only wanted to point out this is not an Arab-specific issue.

It is a an Arab problem, as can be seen by the vast number of Arab refugees. The sad fact is that Arab lives are cheap, and if Israel is not involved (and it is not involved in 99% of violent Arab deaths) nobody cares and there is no coverage.
