seriously, what is it about American society and culture that breeds such wackos?? This Trump guy actually makes Sarah Palin sound intelligent...
Americans (and I can say this as one) love "individuals" Unique characters, especially ones who seem make money and own stuff. The American dream. We don't take them seriously, and consider them amusing at best, but I don't think we really understand their often harmful impact on society.
Personally, I think Trump is a stupid jerk. I have found myself amused however by the facebook page devoted to his toupee. See, we really don't take him seriously. Do we have to? I don't know... but I do know there are a lot of detractions in the America from serious issues, and I think he's one of them.

Trump was playing the media- it was all timed to coincide with and boost show ratings. Obama's intelligence trumps Trump who has now resorted to speeches full of profanity. Obama is even a better showman- funnier and does it with style. Timing is key and Obama has it, he just had to fit it in between Bush cuased wars, Bush financial abyss legacy, Middle East democratic changes, Palestine peace process, BP oil disaster, unemployment, the worst tornadoes fro decades, floods, his wife's near miss air disaster.
Now Trump is after checking Obama's academic qualification- funny that he never checked, Bush's Yale record. One CNN news reporter commented my Alsation has a higher IQ than Bush, even the republicans guests laughed. Neither has he bothered to check the fact that McCain was born in Colon outside of the Panama canal protective zone and so should never have been eligible to run for presidency.
I was hoping that Obama would have a bet, -if I show my full birth certificate on national TV. Then you show how you weave you hair. It is actually quite a complicated process.
It's about time that WASPs in the US stopped believing they have the right to order Black people show their papers on demand.

Perot won nearly 19% of the vote, though he didn't have a weekly social experiment pitting Ice-T and Meatloaf in a battle of "game."
If Trump turned serious for long enough he could probably coax a fair number of voters to his gold-plated political casino. His campaign contributions seemed to show a lean left, right? And he has flipped politics numerous times through his--I think--2 previous presidential attempts. Has America degraded to a point where the presidential race is really like a high school student body race--the cocky kid who hands out candy and talks the talk wins?
I, of course, hope not. But I honestly have no idea what is going on over there anymore.
