Well not quite. I can't help feeling that the world is a slightly more dangerous place today than it was yesterday.

What convenient, perfect timing! Now they can quickly whip the soldiers outa Afganistan and send them all to Libya!

WOW, they couldn't have planned it better....

About "in a mansion"!
I always thought Bin Laden was hiding in a mansion; but I thought in Geneva not Islamabad.

So much for the stories about the religious ascetic living in poverty & hardship in a remote cave.
Turns out to be living in a $1M mansion himself while sending poor children out to blow themselves up.

Just a month ago, the US was being criticized for not participating more in the airstrikes on Libya (which were subsequently led by the British and the French under the direction of the UN) and for not providing arms in Libya. What invasions are you referring to? The invasion of Iraq in 2003 that Obama has made crystal clear he never supported and is doing everything he can to end?

Tim in London, says he is reminded of the words of Col Tim Collins to his troops: "If you are ferocious in battle remember to be magnanimous in victory": "The ugly, boastful scenes outside the White House cannot in any way be seen as magnaminous and is unpleasently remindful of flag-burning rallies and hate parades more commonly witnessed in those countries we suspect of being orchestras of terror."
Interesting perspective

Why do the Americans have his body? What do they intend to do with it?
What should they have done? Leave it there?

I would have put the head on a spike in the town squares of Islamabad or Kabul.

They however need the body because they will give him a proper burial in accordance with islamic law. Plus they also need it in case people start to question whether he was really killed

I am so with you on this one!!!! It makes no sense to have disposed of the PROOF so soon! The conspiracy theorists are going to have a heyday with this one...

Re: US gov. claiming Osama bin Laden killed.

I have a mental image of Obama having a "Things to do today" list on the wall of the oval office, with a huge red tick next to "Get Bin Laden" and "End the War on Terror".

Sadly there are still huge blanks next to "Stop invading everywhere" and "Secure my next term in office".
