UK Super-injunctions

In the UK, you can get an injunction against newspapers (or other media) publishing certain information about you. You can get a super-injunction that prevents them mentioning you've taken out an injunction. And, most recently, a hyper-injunction which prevents it being mentioned in parliament!

Not surprisingly, there's some concern about this. Now there's apparently been a leak on twitter. Exposed on Twitter: Top-secret super-injunction names revealed on internet | Mail Online Or try here - Twitter.

Fortunately, as EF isn't hosted in the UK, or owned by a UK company, we're not subject to a UK injunction - super/hyper or otherwise. Mind you, I've looked at the alledged information, and it seems either a) innocuous b) unlikely c) didn't everyone know/suspect that already or d) who cares?

So are these names easily obtainable (bar looking at that twitter) for someone that goes and looks at the court papers?

Re: UK Super-injunctions

how do the press know they are not allowed to report on these 'stories' do the court send out a list of no go stories? do they have to send everything they are going to print via the courts to check its not subject to a super injunction? etc etc I just can't see how these things work???

Re: UK Super-injunctions

Alledgedly:-

Ewan McGregor - re hooker
Alan Shearer / Gabi Logan - sportsman/journalist
Clarkson - various
Chef - Gordon Ramsey
Ryan Giggs - Re Miss Wales

Or as was sung by the oppositions fans, the other week

"he's fast down the wing
He's Imogen
Ryan Giggs
Ryan Giggs"

Re: UK Super-injunctions

Perhaps if these super injunctions were about people that actually made a difference to my life, I may consider giving a crap...
