TVE is saying 10. Epicenter very close to site of previous earthquake 3 years ago. Aparantly felt throughout neighboring autonomies but I haven't heard anything about the fuerza (force) of the quake.
I found from another source it was 5.1... which is actually small. I'm surprised they're making such a fuss.

I love hearing J.L.R.Z. speak. He speaks with such enunciation and clarity. So easy to understand.

I am very sad to hear about this news, I hope those who are affected will get help and support to go through this tough time.
We are moving to Spain in a couple of weeks. Hopefully it isn't something frequent...
My heart is already there.

I am guessing it's no worse than Switzerland for earthquakes. Basel is overdue a major one (if you believe everything you hear) by about 50 years......

This is very sad.
My Dad retired to a place about 30km outside Lorca. He was away when the erathquake happened and there was no damage to his place. All his friends and neighbours are fine too apparently, but I do recognise some of the places on the TV footage and I feel for all those who were affected.

(Shame there's not much they can do about the tsunamis though )
In Spain I suspect many buildings are not designed with earthquakes in mind, so the danger is higher. |
