Risky...very risk. Microsoft really want a piece of the Mobile OS Market. Not too sure buying a dinosaur in it's death throes is the way to go...


Nokia shares recover after Microsoft sale rumours

Nokia's shares have rebounded on a report that it is to sell its mobile phone business to Microsoft.

The website BGR said that a $19bn (£11.6bn) deal had been struck, although Nokia declined to comment.

Earlier, Nokia's shares had dropped sharply for a second day as analysts questioned whether its tie-up with Microsoft would be enough to revive its
fortunes.

if NOK keeps falling the way it has recently, hell I'll be able to buy the damn company next month...

It seems like a very stupid move. Just the kind of moves Microsoft make since Gates left.

So true.. OS is what matters to the End User, not the hardware. And staying for a long time with Symbian didn't help much.

sounds like they made an all or nothing choice. not content to be just another android vendor, WinMo was their only choice.

They could have easily put their own skin over the Android firmware.

Or be really innovative....and leave Android stock. I'd certainly go for a phone that left to be stock android

I guess smart business move, but I loyally like Nokia (eventhough two last ones died horrible faulty deaths) and I do not like Microsoft.
