To be fair these appear to be the vigilantes' favourites. No looting in Haringay Green Lanes or Stoke Newington last night (Turkish and Kurdish shop owners), and Tower Hamlets was also rather quiet (East London Mosque).

Re: The Tottenham Riots....

Arrest half the criminals, bind and gag them, put them inside a highstreet Comet overnight. Say you were using the Comet to keep the massive number of people arrested because the police station was full. Wait for the other half to burn it down.

Yeh but why are they ordering baseball bats that dispatch in 4 to 6 weeks?

Secondly, at least two of the riots that you list have been mainly stirred up by the BNP and racism.
oh no. And under which government did the BNP achieve record electoral results?

If Amazon sold Kalashnikovs, I am sure they would outsell all those baseball bats together.

Does it really have to be just the crims? Can't we do it with all of the bootless and unhorsed? I mean, they breed and issue forth criminal types, even if they themselves aren't, apparently! The Huffington Post said that, so it must be true...

They make do with planks for the time being. Also, buying at JB Sports is no longer an option in many parts of London.

Maybe I should riot too - I don't even have a TV because I can't afford one. Granted, I've bought something that is even better than TV instead.

Re: The Tottenham Riots....

Any analysis of the riots at the this stage generally releaves more about the person giving it than the riots themselves.

Whatever your existing political outlook was/is you can find a reason to justify it on the basis of these riots. For example, some say the problem is too much social welfare, others say it's too little social welfare.

All you need to do is to point anything that existed previously and doesn't exist today, or vice versa, and come up with some spurious correlation to say why this is happening.
