Oh for goodness sake, I am talking about this incident in the context of the UK riots, not on a world scale!
Say what you mean then. I'm not a mind reader!

I'm not quite sure you'd say that if it happened to your brother or best friend, surely Porsche. The kid was beaten then robbed by those who pretended to help. Sick.

Erm....immigrants aren't a race (ever seen an Australian immigrant in London? It ain't pretty, granted, but they're white as the driven snow). Also I think around 2 of them are joking. As has been explained earlier in the thread. Which I'd love you to read if you have time. Prevents your posts being all pointless. Thanks

Saying there is too much immigration doesn't necessarily make someone racist.
They could just be saying that the country is becoming overcrowded, or they may be reflecting the opinions of some of the rioters.

And you are also overlooking the fact that 80.33 of those people who voted think that 'The riots are spontaneous/opportunistic, just criminals seeing an opportunity'

I hope the earlier video explains your question clearly. The foreign student with a broken jaw getting mugged.

I don't think it's a competition Any crime isn't pleasant, but what you focus on can make one seem worse than the other.

One viewpoint: This poor guy was beaten up pretty badly (most muggings don't involve a broken jaw and smashed teeth) and by the sounds of it left unconscious after having some stuff stolen. Then he was helped up and had more stuff taken.

Another viewpoint: This was just one young guy with non-permanent injuries who is already being given replacement goods by companies, and pales into total insignificance against the three people murdered in Birmingham when someone drove a car at high speed deliberately at them*

* An arrest but no charges yet, but that's what witnesses say happened.

Fair point. You are more up to speed than me as to what has been happening over there. Of course, the death of three innocent victims is terrible and inexcusable.
