You are seriously derailing a thread is what you are doing.
Go and have a cup of tea.
Meanwhile, the rest of us can get back to being genuinely concerned for this child's welfare, debate the breakdown of social fabric, and what we can do about it.

Yes I am sure attention was what it was about not a child being killed and a link being posted so ghouls can see it happening because its unbelievable isnt it?
When you all stop massaging your egos and look at it in the light of day and ask yourself why you really want to see a baby being crushed by a van.
Then in the realisation I will send you links of babies been put into microwaves and you can all go oh!ah oh! so terrible should I continue or is the debate getting too real for you to handle?

Right, enough. I've told you once to quit it hoslo. This thread isn't about the whether or not the video should have been posted, but about the event itself.
You are derailing the thread, and if you continue I won't have a problem with providing you with a little break from the EF while you calm down.

And goes no where for the discussion.

In china, most people think whatever happens is fate , bad luck so why interfere, why try and save people? Kids sit at the front in cars, no seat belt, they even stand up. I got really mad sitting in the car of my husband's chinese bosses , a millionaire chinese family who let their 3 year old move back and forth from the front of the car to the back seats, standing in between the parents with the gears in the middle !!!
If something happens , well it's not in their hands, like watching this little boy dying. After living 4 years in Shanghai, it does not surprise me

I dont want to be slapped by slaphead so be cool enjoy agreeing with each other and debate on the nice things you can do to help humanity and get your kicks by pretending to care. See ya later GHOULS | | | | | Is there something wrong when people do agree with each other in a debate? Otherwise it's completely pointless to discuss anything in the first place. Instead of walking around with angry little ideas in our heads, maybe it's good to get it all out there. I don't really feel how you can judge people who may have watched this video footage as feigning on other people's troubles.
I didn't watch it, and I had enough info from the article to be shocked enough. Still, for some people, watching it emboldens them with a purpose to make a change, or take responsibility. I have a personal experience where I felt I had to take accountability for an action, and therefore stand witness to my decision. Horrible things aren't always perpetuated onto video. I do agree with you in a respect that it's not necessary for anyone to understand what happened by watching the video of it. And it does disgust me.
But there are people that do click on that kind of imagery, who do take pleasure in it. I remember the 9/11 attacks, and working in the US, the days after, with a "fellow" American who drank beers, and laughed at the people jumping from the towers. He talked about it all day long. Until one of us couldn't take it anymore, and threw him off a dumpster.
There are those people who watch concentration camp video and laugh at it calling fictional cinema.
I can list more but it's not my intent to make anyone sick. The fact is the people on here, whether they invoke change or not, by discussing it, are doing more, then a place say like China, where freedom of speech is restricted, and there fore possibly with an absence of being able to discuss the court decision, made it a closet type situation. And people's fears supersede what is right. If they felt society on a whole disagreed with that decision, and that society(strangers) were on their side, then actions by strangers may have reacted differently.
It's only by having a discussion first can attitudes change one way or another. People on here, from most the posts I have read do not seem to be taking pleasure in viewing the material. They did take the action to watch it for their own reasons.

It's amazing how I am actually agreeing and giving respect to Hoslo, and telling him my opinion, and I have earned a groan. Is the medicine cabinet locked or something today?

Hoslo,
by choosing not to participate in a thread any longer, this also means to keep your itchy fingers OFF the groan button.

I had been intentionally ignoring this thread because I didn't think it would have such legs, but now I'm behind on the comments.
Has the idea been broached about China's one child policy and the impact it has had on the value of little girls? Any speculation as to if that had anything to do with how this little girl's fate came to be?

I have read some sickening things about little girls being abandoned to die in China, maybe to some people girls are just unimportant.
