Sent from my Galaxy S2 | | | | | About "They will actually put up a fight"
?? they did not do so well versus Iraq in the 8 year war so they would be a push over versus a modern well trained force. Especially since many/most of the young people who would be forced into the army are less than enthusiastic to support Ahmadi & the Supreme Leader.
I doubt the Iranian leaders can today drum up the enthusiasm for young people to perform the huge human suicide waves that worked so well in the 80s versus Iraq.
Despite that I doubt anybody will formally attack Iran; it is too large, to far away & requires crossing other countries territiries that probably will not give permission.

A Libyan official said Gaddafi, 69, was killed in custody.
A spokesman for the National Transitional Council (NTC) in Benghazi, Jalal al-Galal, said a doctor who examined Gaddafi in Misrata found he had been shot in the head and abdomen.

Well first of all it's yesterday's news... and secondly what a load of tosh!
Sorry but anyone who believes that must be really naive... (I say naive because I don't want to insult people and say stupid!)

The man is responsable of 1000s of death. He didn't deserve to be treated with respect.
BUT to kill him, humiliate him and drag his body around is barbaric. Somehow understandable considering the hate he created by keeping his population in a fear statement for over 40 years.
But they would have had better use of him alive and in front of the justice. Dead, he is not paying nor surfering for what he did.
Happy they got him but feel very uncomfortable of what they did to him. I would probably feel like them if I was a victim of his regime.
Hope something good will come out of this, hope Libya will have a better futur... Inshallah!

Inshallah! | | | | | Sorry Nil I do not think that allah will get much of a look in, first of all scores will be settled in the usual african way, only instead of pangas there are a lot of AK´s flying around, then the rebels will splinter along tribal lines and start fighting each other over control, the so-called tempory government will be seen as a western puppet as soon as the oil flows, some tribal groups will not like the other tribe getting the same oil benefits.
The usual stuff.
greed
envy
At the same time the religious coconuts will start to agitate and do thier god stuff.
We will see that some of the people will be longing for the stability, sorry "stability" of the gadaffy regime.
The lid is off and the pot will boil over.

The turkeys are rejoicing that the old fox has been killed by a young fox.
Fast forward another 40 years and it'll happen again (if there is any oil left then).

They're all murderers! Same as the old Mad Dog, only their actions are supposedly justified under the false pretence of protecting the 'innocent' of Libya...
Their mandate never stipulated ousting the leader, but they took full advantage of the power given to them to coordinate attacks with the NTC, now he's dead... Libya is liberated! And they're out, I wonder why? Don't the people still need protection? They got their man, simples!

What is going to happen to the hundreds of thousands of guns, RPGs etc.. that NATO countries poured into Libya? Does anyone think 000's of heavily armed, unemployed men are simply going to go home and watch the elections on TV?

I wonder if they granted him a last wish? to be killed before trial. He knew what was going to happen to him (Hussein) and perhaps rebels were "nice enough" to grant him that wish.
Also on the other side of the coin, without him we wouldnt even know where Libya was, the man did some good things also but that still doesnt allow for the bad things he did.... .
IMHO , it is the NATO who should be going on trail pretty soon.....
