The information in the clip is a mix of fact and some slightly dubious interpretation. The ESM is very tightly controlled and legally enforceable - true - but what is the alternative? THAT'S JUST IT, THERE IS NOT MEANT TO BE AN ALTERNATIVE.....Continued nice words in Euro meetings from Greeks et al about solving the issue and then nothing happening? WHY LET SOMETHING FU*K UP YOUR PLANS? You think that the money markets would be satisfied by something loose and aspirational? THE MONEY MARKETS NOW THERE'S A LAUGH, WHEN YOU LET GREED RULE YOU'LL FOLLOW THE MONEY ANYWHERE, WHEN THE MONEY HAS NO VALUE YOU CAN MAKE THE NUMBERS AS BIG AS YOU WANT AND POINT THEM IN ANY DIRECTION TO CONTROL THE MARKETS...WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN THIS YEAR, ARE YOU BLIND ? Of course not

But the "tin foil" bit is that you really believe that some secret cabal is behind this. TOO F'IN RIGHT I AND MANY OTHERS DO...You really believe that? This was caused by us and our behaviour - no more, no less....WHO IS WEARING THE TIN HAT? IF YOU BELIEVE THE LIE, IT WILL NEVER BE A LIE, YOU ARE PART OF THE LIE BELIEVING YOU KNOW THE TRUTH

That's the definition of economics.

Interesting concept I see around me quite often. Yet I fail to understand it... To me to be good at someone, to make good and more complicated choices over quick & dirty ones is not led by fear of afterlife, not by desire to "secure" what may come next, get some + points. It is not even to once in future get back what You plant by Your good deeds, as once explained to me by one indian holy man in Himalaya (aka karma). If I do something good, it is because of simple belief that it should be done this way and this world needs it, no matter how it will (or won't) come back to me. And I am an atheist, not by convenience but by belief.

World is not black & white, You can work & study hard, earn a lot in honest way and then use these money to improve life of some poor people anywhere in the world, in persona. Just don't go for cheap consciousness fixes like some humanitarian organizations, 90% of Your money would be swallowed by bureaucracy. See, instant saint there
That statement 'The world is not black and white' is true to the likes of you and me, but we don't control the game... I would not knock the after-life too much, it may not look like the pictures in our Holy books but in my view it is very, very real..

but if you have just a tiny inkling of faith and the afterlife and what would constitute a nice or bad eternity then you must ask yourself the question

'What is more valuable to you, here or after

Here as there is no after.

Is wearing a tin-foil hat essential for contribution to this thread?
Sadly not, the architects for a federal europe are very open about their objectives. They've been very clever in the way that they have parlayed existing powers into greater powers and have had some, let's say, interesting, interpretations of law in the EU courts. In some cases, they've gone beyond their reach on the flimsiest and most laughable pretexts.

The thing that makes this group of people dangerous is that they believe that they have a greater purpose and seem to belive that the ends justify the means.

At the end, you will see that the EU states will have given up their monetary control, a portion of their taxing and spending control, subsumed their democratic rights and powers into another unelected body and all without a referendum or debate.

I have a hard time taking this video clip seriously when the narrator speaks with a strong American accent and continusly speaks of "we" right up to the end where she changes to "you".

Who has published the clip?
it doesn't matter ... if it's on the Internet, it must be right

And what makes it all even worse is 'It all makes bloody good sense''

They say you can't make omelettes without breaking eggs but the omelette they have in mind will mean that it will take a generation or two to get over it and clean up the mess....

From then on 'They' will hail 'Themselves' as the 'Saviours of mankind' not the megalomanic (plural), murderous MF'ers we would call them today when they get their way...

hopefully the Cameron veto will grow into a full UK referendum on whether the UK pulls out of the EU completely and will hopefully be saved from this disasterous political project that has been described as democratically, intellectually and morally bankrupt.
And stick to the great success the UK has been, politically, industrially and socially as of late. Of course the advantage is that success has been achieved democratically.

before or after it joined the EU?

the amount of austerity savings is less than the amount already paid to save the Euro.

the UK is the 2nd biggest net contributor to the EU.

the UK joined the disastrous CAP which allowed the rest of europe access to UK fishing stocks, which decimated the british fishing industry as well as depleting the fish stocks.

now they are talking of bringing in EU legislation which will destroy the UK's position as a global financial centre.
