Well if Sheryl Gascoigne can understand it........i am sure you should be able to.

Click here to watch some clips on youtube of Hugh Grant, Sienna Miller, Max Mosley, Steve Coogan, JK Rowling, The McCanns, The Dowlers..........

Some of the evidence given is truly shocking.

Re: The Leveson Inquiry

More scathing testimony this morning.

And one of witnesses swore again.......the controller at the BBC just hit the button and went straight to the weather.......after last weeks swearing, i think the BBC are on full alert.

Still its very amusing to hear someone say 'F * * * ING' on the BBC at lunchtime.

Attached below is this weeks witnesses..........Alistair Campbell on Thursday, should be rather entertaining.

Re: The Leveson Inquiry

Great session this afternoon from Charlotte Church & Anne Diamond.

Both had things to say about Murdoch senior.........he must be gutted, surely something needs to be done about this bar-steward.

As no-one seems particually interested in this, i will just keep talking to myself.

cheers

I've been watching/listening. Very interesting it is too.

The Guardian have a live feed btw, which I'd have thought wouldn't cut to the weather when somebody says arse!

Yesterday the BBC were not showing this live, so i had to stream it online.

Alot more shocking things were said.......and a few editors really got dropped in the shit!

I cannot wait for it to begin today.......Alistair Campbell should be answering some awkward questions!!!

cheers

To be fair, the "shocking" (yeah right) witness statements yesterdays contained the following non-bombshells:
- the Daily Star makes up stories (as in: they are complete fabrications)
- that is because the Daily Star has no money to afford phone hacking
- the editors of the News of the World were aware of phone hacking
- tabloid journalists think the fact that lots of people buy their paper means whatever they write is in the public interest
- "privacy is for paedos, nobody else needs it"
- a tabloid journalist seems to be unaware of the difference between a paediatrician and a paedophile
- he was however happy that he could stir up an angry mob going after a "paediatrician" (he meant "a suspected paedophile")
- someone killing herself after being "exposed" in the paper may make a journalist sad sometime (for a little while)

Well you don't say. All of the above has been evident for anyone who's ever read the Daily Star or followed some of the tabloid "campaigns". Only the tabloids' PR machine maintains that the Pope is in fact a Muslim and that Bears do not defecate at all.

Re: The Leveson Inquiry

I think that the reason that nobody is "biting" on the thread is that there is nothing new. We all know that red-tops have questionable morals in their ultra-competitive circulation war and we know that they do it because of the prurient and insatiable appetite of you and I for celebrity gossip.

We can't feel superior or judgmental if we ever discussed or passed on gossip about Ryan Giggs affair or Britney's madness or JLo's thighs.....they serve the market that we created
