Unfortunately, I doubt she is. There are many many people who think this way in England. Personally, I've seen something similar happen quite a few times.
Once was actually in Switzerland, in Biel train station; an old lady maybe in her 60s. She wasn't as brazen as this woman, but she was saying the same sort of thing. Then she started poking and pushing people.
It's really sad for these people - I wonder if all they actually talk about is how many foreigners there are around them and how they're so poor because they have to deal with losing "their Britain". Even if she lived in her ideal white world, I'm sure she'd still have something to complain about. Rich people, fat people etc...

Are we talking the lady who answered back? She's clearly not British.
Why is she "clearly" not British? Because she is black? Because her sentences are by and large gramatically correct? Because she isn't obviously drunk or high? Because she doesn't say "f##k" a lot?

The was for the "British" people on the tram not speaking up but tapping away on their Blackberries instead. Which isn't true, there's a young mom in the end who speaks um and who makes the point that she is English (read: white).
So as I see it, his point is that the British didn't say anything, and someone who's not British did.
and the Swiss are not so racist? Certainly they wouldn't speak
like that, but....
Some Brits are really racist, I have met very many, sadly. Like that awful foul-mouthed woman. Some Swiss are racists- terribly- but NO THE SWISS ARE NOT RACIST.
And it was recently proven, contrary to the UDC/SVP poster
THE Swiss do not vote SVP/UDC.

Although I find her comments outrageous and disgusting, I don't think a global internet hate campaign is the right way to deal with such people. You don't fight hate with hate.

It's really a shame for the kid, he does seem pretty used to that sort of ranting and language.

Making blanket statements like 'The X are racist' is clearly foolish as there may be some or many members of that group who are not. Similarly, saying "The X are not racist" is equally foolish as it rejects the observation that in any sufficiently large group of people, some members must be racist. It also goes against simple observation by various members of this forum. The lesson here is to reject making blanket statments about groups, and only make statements about individuals given just cause.
