I wonder what Justin Bieber has to say about all this? Isn't he Canada's spokesman these days?
Well, at least he would be better than Harper.

But where moving in from the south ,Florida and California .January or February
Thanks for the warning, I'll alert the media

BTW, the alternate state mottos for Florida and California are:

Florida - The land of the headless cars (When following a car driving by an oldster you often can't see their heads looking through the rear window :>)
California - By the age of 30, our women have more plastic than your Honda

Now, this is all just in humor...If interested you can find the full list here: http://forum.worldstart.com/showthread.php?t=56083

YO!! This one is about the Canadians !!!! What's with the rant about the US when it's the friggin' Canadians pulling the reversal. The US Justice Dept. issued that statement BECAUSE the Canadians are now saying they were never legally wed in CANADA. Which is correct, if they were never legally wed then there are no grounds for getting a divorce.

Now then, once the CANADIANS get their act together and decide if those people are or are not legally married in Canada, and IF the CANADIANS decide to pull their heads out of a very dark place and get it right by not reversing all of those weddings AND the US Justice Dept. still says they can't get divorced THEN you have a right to rant about the US

Until then rant about the right friggin' country dude
Because the US has DOMA. Spain has a similar law as what Canada is using to justify their action. Your marriage has to be legal in your own country for it to be legal in theirs. Since the US has DOMA, no gay American's marriage is legal in the US. It only gets nominal and insignificant recognition at the state level and that doesn't confer much.

Which takes me back to my original point, you're blaming the US for something the Canadians are doing. DOMA holds no sway over what any other country does. Canada and Spain have not passed their laws because of DOMA.

You cannot blame Canada's actions, or any other countries actions, on the fact that the right wing religious factions got this passed during the Clinton administration. The thread was about Canada dissolving same sex marriages, so keep to the point and let us all see what you have to say about Canada potentially making such marriages invalid.

Each country needs to be held accountable for their own actions, their own prejudices and their own discriminatory practices.
