+1 makes it clearer.

If she's sleeping and he brought in a +1 then that was definitely rape.

Has it been proved that he did that, or are you just making scurrilous allegations on the internet?

2. What does this gentleman have to do with J. Assange and his legal defense anyhow? No background in law (he's a journalist!)
Wrong. He's a prominent politician and a Member of Parliament since 1987.

That is to be proven, the +1 could have already had prior consent for morning coitus, but the defendant, although having received evening consent, had debatable possession of morning consent.

And?

There has been a whole lot of evidence lately that being a "prominent politician" in no way qualifies anyone as an expert in anything besides blowing a lot of air (particularly in US) and spending money in ways they had no right (particularly in UK).

Still doesn't answer what he has to do with J. Assange in any legal manner.

Are you serious? He is a MP and a fairly critical one. His job is to check if the legal system in the UK is good and where it needs to be improved. Because his job is to make laws...

There is some guy hiding in an embassy and the UK is seriously considering to storm it - something very extreme. Any MP that does not look into the matter but simply votes for whatever his party leaders tell him is not worth the money he gets.

Just picking you up on your statement

25 years sitting as part of the legislative body gives him quite a strong background in law, I'd have said.

(Not that I think he's an expert in the matters under discussion).

That would be necrophilia. I think that's illegal too.
