2014 hostage situation in Sydney
2014 Hunt family murders
2005 Oakhampton Heights Shooting
2002 Monash University shooting
...

Oh look, 22 yards BSing again
It's unfortunate that you don't understand the term "mass shooting".

2014 hostage situation in Sydney -- 3 killed, including the shooter, Man Monis (who actually killed only one of the hostages; one was killed accidentally by shrapnel from police fire, and Monis was shot by the police). In any case, the siege was defined as an act of terrorism*
2014 Hunt family murders -- murder-suicide
2005 Oakhampton Heights Shooting -- murder-suicide
2002 Monash University shooting -- 2 killed

When attempting to argue a point, it really helps to know what you're arguing about.

So, you're wrong, again. And you still can't refute the clear evidence that the firearm control legislation in Australia has significantly reduced gun deaths (and mass killings by firearm).

*And the shotgun and cartridges used by Monis all pre-dated the 1996 firearms legislation.

So a bloke walking into a university classroom with six guns and shooting indiscriminately isn’t a mass shooting. Thanks for clearing that up.

Question for you Loz,...

Whilst South Africa has extremely high rates of gun related crime, casualties and fatalities, why does it have only a tiny fraction of the mass shootings seen in the US?

Culture my dear, culture.
So the absence of culture makes a country more likely to have mass shootings. Works for me.

No culture allowed in North Korea - no mass shootings either so you may have a point.

Yes, you're right. Sorry.

Actually, North Korea has no guns in private ownership - and no mass shootings either.

You really shouldn't be debating a subject you know nothing about. "Mass shooting" (actually, it should be "mass killing by firearm", but that'll never catch on) has a specific definition—usually, four or more killed, and excluding murder-suicides—so you're correct, the Monash Uni shooting was not a "mass shooting". Nor was any shooting in Australia during the study period post-gun legislation.

But feel free to clutch at straws and cry "what about other stuff, because". You're just plain wrong. Again.
