The bread is a no-brainer, as it should be labelled in English as well.
Why?

Yes, read my above post on the Glock.
So you're implying that Police firearms training is insufficient to enable safe weapons handling?
As I wrote before, and at risk of repeating myself, how is any training for the public (not that they legally need any in some states) going to be sufficient?

Why? That's not the law here.

And anyway, don't you mean Tamil and Serbo-Croat? Why should these people be put more at risk?

As you're so, so concerned about the bread - how many children have actually choked to death on the plastic king anyway? (and should we compare that with choking incidents on the same day with peanuts, wienerli, grapes etc etc etc)?

Why?
Because the guns you can buy in the US are all labelled in French and German, so its only fair to label lethal cakes in English. We have already established that three kings cakes don't kill but killers do bake cakes. Or maybe its just Darwinism in action, with the government increasing literacy rates by choking those who can't read German.

I'm not implying that Police firearm training is insufficient at all...but with anything else, there are obviously differences in training procedures and efficacy. It seem, that in this particular incident, the police officer wanted to move the gun from the holster to his jacket pocket, which is not standard procedure. Maybe he's new to Glocks or maybe he just wanted to conceal the weapon before the elevator door opened...who knows.
Training for the public is an entire different scenario, as civilians do not require to handle a weapon for a living and there are many weapons out there but only a select few without an external safety. As you correctly stated, some States do not require any formal training at all. Whether this is the most plausible scenario, I'm not entirely convinced. Fact is however, that the officer and the Walmart incident happened with weapons which were not locked and holstered, which should be a big no-no in any book.

I don't know how many children have actually choked to death, as Switzerland is not too keen on keeping negative statistics. The bread obviously differs from grapes etc. as it is a seasonal tradition containing a foreign object.
Once Tamil and Serbo-Croat will become world languages , I'll put in a motion to label the Dreikönigskuchen with a choking hazard, deal?

Two-year-old boy shoots himself dead with father's gun in Florida....

Here

Why wasn't that two-year old trained to use a gun safely on a firing range?

That would be the only way to avoid these kind of accidents.

US toddler shoots both of his parents with one bullet (but misses his sister).

When will people take note?

I can't believe the stupidity of some people, how can you have a loaded gun in the same vicinity as a child? Thank goodness they're both still alive to tell the tale.

Probably only when the same thing happens to the President in the White House. Not before I'm afraid.

Perhaps the only good thing about it, apart from the fact that he didn't actually kill his parents, is maybe, maybe, it's frightened him so much that he'll never touch a real gun again. Let's hope so.

It's every toddler's right to bear arms. Says so in the Constitution.

For whatever reason, there's this pervasive attitude in much of the U.S. that having a loaded gun in your purse/desk/house/whatever is "protecting yourself." The adults always think they're responsible and that accidents won't happen to them or their family.

And in Chapel Hill last night,

http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2015/0...093231033.html

I used to live around the corner from where the shooting occurred. Yeah, ok, maybe it's not stupid parents with guns, but the shooter is probably some ed up loon with a gun. Incredibly tragic.

Chapel hill, by the way is a bastion of liberal PCness, surrounded by.....interesting stuff.

I only see the head paragraph which gives no reason. So assuming it was an ambush, how would having a gun have prevented the attack?
