put pics of mr and mrs average on the net - go for it, i would never know about it as im not in the public eye.
have a read of newspapers and every few times a year you'll find stories of exactly this - normally a voyeur hotel owner recording couples having sex, or an ex boyfriend releasing sex tapes or putting material on the Internet in revenge. Most cases it pretty much ruins the girl involved, they become timid recluses and often drop out of society. Still, long lens, bing bongs out, get-with-the-programme 21st century survellence eh? I mean don't know what all the fuss is about, the victims should just laugh it off, or maybe like was insinuated earlier, they were ASKING to be filmed really.

Not.

how would my family like it ( if we were famous and have moment documented) - well it would never happen as I and family have COMMON SENSE.

private property it was - in full view of a number of public roads withut screens or hedges etc.

if they guy had been in a full camo and rooting thru the bushes to the back yard thats a different story, instead he parked on a public road in full view of the house.

bing bongs? i can use the cruder TITS if you prefer? oh and its 5 years old

put pics of mr and mrs average on the net - go for it, i would never know about it as im not in the public eye.
If you were famous? That's not what I asked. I'm asking a simple question: suppose your mother's magnificent breasts* were snapped by a Peeping Tom with a mega lens as she sunbathed on a private property, on holiday, having had assurances that no one could see her --and those pics were posted on the internet? Are you saying you wouldn't mind?

[*i.e. bing bongs]

That's the issue. Is it acceptable for someone to treat your family that way, or is it unacceptable? What's the answer?

(Just out of interest, what's the source of the information about them being in "....full view of a number of public roads withut screens or hedges....?" Not saying you're wrong, but I couldn't find any reference to the location or circumstances when I just looked. I didn't get the impression that this picture/s was snapped by a passing motorist.)

Maybe if nudity and sex weren't considered such taboo -- and if people didn't sensationalize them -- then magazines wouldn't care enough to post photos like this.

They're boobs.

Privacy? You are member of the Royal family, you go on a holiday abroad where Royalty mean nothing (as Grace Kelly once said) and you take out your tits out on the sun on a balcony a expect people to respect your privacy?! Who the hell do you think you are? You are in France...If you feel comfortable enough to be topless on a balcony, be ready next day your tits to be in the magazines...
If you're on a security-screened, private property, on a personal holiday, and have had assurances that you will have total privacy, then why would you have to make that decision about "trusting people to respect your privacy"?

Same story with Hary...partying butt naked in Las Vegas with girls around only Mike's tiger is missing and than they complain privacy has been breached....
Not the same story at all. He was cavorting in public, and deserves all he got for being so stupid.

So to me all the posers from the Royal Family that enjoy the media attention are doing it on purpose....
William and Kate enjoyed the attention so much they are suing the magazine, and Harry had to make a grovelling public apology before heading back to Afghanistan.

FFS how else would the media get their boobs and buts naked on camera?
How? Through a pervy bloke hiding in a hedge with a very long lens?

And I think that's exactly the point. If she wasn't a royal, just a regular gal, most people would be up in arms to think that someone was taking sneaky pervy photos with a long lens. The photographer would be tracked down by police and probably end up on the sex offenders' register (or at least be subject to some kind of criminal prosecution for being a Peeping Tom).

The Royals seem to be everyone's property without limits and somehow not subject to the same moral norms we apply to poor old Joe Public.

Despite her title and high life, she is still a human being, and likely to be deeply hurt by this. I know I would be, although I doubt anyone would be interested in photographing my jugs.

The world is tottering on the brink. The economy is in shreds. Unemployment is everywhere. Human rights issues, our freedoms and the natural environment are at threat. Our leaders are a bunch of spineless idiots. There's no brown sugar in Switzerland and cow bells are too noisy. But all this has to take second place so the headlines can tell us about (excuse may pun) the royal tits.
Yeah, but we are all discussing no brown sugar and annoying cow bells, I don't see why we can't give this our incredibly interesting and important commentary as well.

If she was just in a bikini no one would have battered an eyelid.

I think she has been incredibly naive - if you want to get your top off and in her position she should have done it in private. Sadly different rules apply when you marry into the royal family and she and him just did not think. A bit like Fergie and her toe sucking incident.

Has the Queen or Princess Anne been photographed topless ?- they know that there could be anyone with a long lens ..

In this case I would be pissed off at the guy who gave me assurances of total privacy, when you are one of the media hottest royals abroad you should keep your guard...Even if you were assured you had total privacy, simplest would be to change your bikini or whatever inside and not on a balcony....IF you wanted total privacy. How stupid can you be to expect total privacy on a balcony in France where paparazzi know that you will be staying?

Suing or not the magazine, makes no difference now. It is really EASY to protect your privacy - don't get naked outside on a very sunny day. It's really simple. If you want private life, don't marry to future king. If you do - again, don't show your boobs out in the open in France

And why do you keep saying long lens? Why does it matter if the paparazzi were 300 meters or 1 km away? If you know you are in the public eye and target for paparazzi you can protect yourself 100%... Just don't get naked outside!

It's not the breasts. It's the constant stalking by the French photographers.

There's enough opportunity to get pictures of the Duchess of Cambridge on her official duties without invading her every private moment.

It sells magazines but it's wrong.

Did you check the passports of the photographers personally? As far as I understood the freedom of movement act allows who ever to take pervy pics to make a living, as long as they are EU of course.

It's strange to say that the french photographers are stalking, when everyone know how way over the top the British media are, especially about Royal anything. The french only care when British royals do something embarrassing; which is where we are at here.

What the Queen is doing with her dogs, or the size of Prince Charles new Polo stick is isn't. They let the British press have those, and when not content with that, they look thru phone records of terror victims. C'mon.

Well what constiitutes as private then? How does one get sun without tan lines, without being in the sun? Do they have to evacuate the neighboring areas, so that she can lay out for a few hours?

Another issue that came up was that from the place that the photos were taken that someone with the right firearm could have shot them quite easily - were there no bodyguards? Thought that even off duty the royals still have them.

Might be more war. I mean what else have we been able to do?
