As his girlfriend, I don't think it would have been difficult. I guess all the security would have known her. She may have even had her own pass key or whatever
Which makes you wonder why he woud be so paranoid with all that security. You'd think she'd know better than to surprise someone who has 2 weapons in his bedroom for intruders.

Ah, thats what was missing, or not, from the dude who got shot and killed in my home town on Tuesday...............LEGS! It only made national news unlike this story

Great story. Unfortunate lady.

Luckily it was only a pistol, not such a tragic clean up job.

P.S.

Guns
Bad
Kill
NRA...yeah them, prob can't read, yeah, wahoo
Ban guns
If guns didn't exist the world would be better yeah

Re: Oscar Pistorius arrested

The police don't have to charge anyone with anything until they are sure they have enough evidence for them to think they can prove he actually did it. It makes no difference if it is premeditated murder or an accident. You are right about him being innocent until found guilty though.

The police HAVE to charge him with something. And he has admitted to shooting her, so murder is the logical thing to charge him with. They have to carry out a full and thorough investigation.
He's not guilty of murder until found so by a jury of his peers so calm down.
Guns are bad.

His confession, his gun, his house, his girlfriend.... pretty good evidence.

Never trust those with a 'squeaky clean' image..always more than meets
the eye.Sad but true...Very disapppointed in Mr Pistorius though,he was
one of our best exports..in the league of Charlise Theron and almost
Madiba but not quite.

Couldn't agree with you more.

It's not just the unfortunate action that took place, but loss of hope from all those that followed him.

I sure as hell cheered for him at the Olympics. I thought it was an amazing feat to see within my lifetime.

It's just so sad to see someone with that much potential burst his bubble so early..... and for what?

If I was climbing through the window at someones house and I knew he/she would have guns by the bed side but NO legs (attached) I would certainly know that he/she would shoot at me as opposed to RUN over and beat me up.

She should know better but I feel sorry for both nevertheless.....

He lost me when he started bitching and moaning about the guy that beat him in the 200m. I don`t know about the squeaky clean image. Just came out of that looking like a prat.

You're right here but at least he apologised to the Brazilian.Thereafter he
was everyone's favourite again.I guess he was seen as Mr Nice Guy by most but you make a valid point here.Food for thought..

Who said she was climbing through a window? Has anywhere confirmed that he didn't have his legs on at the time? I haven't read every article online but just like the Sandy Hook incident I think maybe we need to wait for the truth to come out.

Unfortunate for the girl. Time will tell on him.

Of course he apologized because he was being made out to be an absolute tw*t and had no other option. Didn't seem all that genuine to me.

Agreed.
However, he not the only athlete in the world to act like a complete twat when things didn't go his way.
John McEnroe was famous for it in tennis.

I didn't cheer for him because he was a good guy, but because he had elevated himself well above all other para-olympians and stole the world stage.

He didn't win, but it was a massive victory in my eyes...... but yes, he did strip himself of credit for acting like such a child afterwards

Re: Oscar Pistorius arrested

He was one of the few people who South Africans looked up to as a role model. It's really tragic that it has come to this.Perhaps he did try too hard and the ladies loved him for his good looks and charm.Didn't help his girlfriend in the end.May she rest in peace.

Ummm...Not speaking about this particular case, but South Africa is a dangerous place; if you have a bit of money, it's a good idea to have a firearm at your house or hire a private armed response service (quite popular in SA)...Heck, traffic wardens are armed in some provinces of SA...
