Re: Michael Schumacher 'Seriously Injured'

Hm, so is this suggesting it was no accident?

It just says "...une affaire qui est plus qu’un simple accident." I gather they mean it's a not a simple accident, but a complicated accident? It seems sensationalistic (and a bit wrong) to imply that they are "suggesting it was no accident".

Right, they are saying it's "more than a simple accident". I read that as saying that the secrecy that followed the accident is almost a bigger story than the accident itself. I don't think it implies there is new info on what happened on the day.

Re: Michael Schumacher 'Seriously Injured'

I remember my Dr. commentating shortly after it happened. Mr. Schumacher was wearing a helmet (no visor or goggles) with the strap properly fastened. It did have a goPro camera on the top and it was recording. The authorities were able to view the recording. Apparently when he fell (off to the side of a prepared piste) his face impacted a pointed rock which impacted between the helmet edge and his eyebrow. The extra weight of the camera was a factor.

If you wonder about the secrecy I can tell you of the hordes of media that camped outside the Schumacherís home on the route suisse in Gland after he was flown back. At one point there were more than a 100 of them. The hung arounds for weeks, despite constant reminders from the family that all communications would only be through their lawyer.

He obviously is seriously injured, do we really need to know all the gory details?
