Behind the garden centre. Shcillinger, or however it's spelled. You can see a big wall and some gates. I haven't actually peeked through but looks like a big estate that goes right down to the lake.

Re: Michael Schumacher 'Seriously Injured'

That's good news then. Now he can start the long, long road back. According to the Local back in March his wife was already building a medical suite so she could bring him home.

http://www.thelocal.ch/20140330/schu...-medical-suite

It's the obvious place for him really, amongst things that are familiar and being with his family. Otherwise, I would think some other private clinic where he can get the continuing care he needs.

Re: Michael Schumacher 'Seriously Injured'

Sabine Kehm has just put out a press release that he has left Grenoble and is out of a coma, also that we will get no more updates.

This sounds brilliant, but I fear that out of a coma does not necessarily mean he is conscious and aware!

Re: Michael Schumacher 'Seriously Injured'

According to the news on the radio this morning Michael Schumacher is now at CHUV in Lausanne receiving intensive rehabilitation from renowned neuro specialists.
It was ironic really as the news bulletin was focussing on the security issues involved in having a high profile patient at the hospital yet they had just told everyone that he was actually there.

Re: Michael Schumacher 'Seriously Injured'

Yes, a bit crazy given that the family didn't particularly want people to know either, otherwise they would have said something in their press release. If there are now problems, the hospital only has itself to blame.

It is probably better to mention the hospital and have adequate security there. Otherwise, people may have been trying to gain access to any other potential hospital in the area, or his home.

Not saying it is not good news but according to a doctor interviewed by 20min, it is likely that he will never be able to speak again and need lifelong care to handle only the simplest tasks.

Re: Michael Schumacher 'Seriously Injured'

Doctors who aren't directly involved in his case have been saying all sorts of things ever since he had the accident so I say let's just wait and see how he does. Wait for the facts and ignore the speculations.

A strange chap, this doctor. First he criticizes his colleages for making forecasts and then jumps into forecasts. Mr Schumacher has come out of Coma and could be transferred to Lausanne. His reconvalescence of course will take years and he will have to re-learn walking, speaking etc. He will have to accept "recommendations" (veiled commands) from the docs which most likely will include a definite ban from driving. And just as people who had cancer he will depend on medical supervision and support

But you have to be positive and not negative

Also those docs who were directly involved may differ in opinion, which is their perfect right.

Re: Michael Schumacher 'Seriously Injured'

No no no, it has NOTHING to say as it is all just speculation.

He may DIE right now, true, but if not, he has to try to overcome the handicaps. That there will be restrictions and limitations is obvious, but nobody can make forecasts. It of course will be an uphill struggle. For the moment, the chap has returned from the land of the dead
