I guess that means that more "liberations" are being planned.

Russophobic.
They've got the hang of this woke language quite well. | Quote: | | | | Rest assured, we are taking note of all these incidents. | | | | | Intended to make people scared of Russia, I guess? Which is of course promoting Russophobia.

This is worth reading - a piece by a Russian well-conncected journalist, now out of the country, on the reaction of the Russian elite to this war. https://ilyalozovsky.substack.com/p/...lcome=true&s=w
Assuming this is true, more evidence of a more or less completely isolated and paranoid Putin and very few siloviki. Fits also with the Fiona Hill analysis in the podcast I shared earlier today.

| | Re: World War 3 or just a local spat in Ukraine? Just thought I'd interrupt Cold War 2 turned hot, for a moment to give you the 'heads up' of ITV's rendition of that old Len Deighton’s classic spy novel classic, The Ipcress Files which is showing on ITV1 tonight over in the UK at 21:00 hrs or 9 pm UK Time.
Be there ( tuned in via your VPN ) or be square !!
Cold War 1 spy fans will no doubt be running their slide rules over the new bespeckled spy, Harry Palmer played by Peaky Blinders star Joe Cole with the spoiler being that ITV's Ipcress Files diverges from the Michael Caine film. New ITV Series - The Ipcress Files (2022) film trailer

And apparently Patriarch Kyrill is just as paranoid as Vova, as a WSJ Moscow reporter shares. https://twitter.com/mjluxmoore/statu..._9hA8HOrg&s=19 |

| | | | | Thanks for the link, quite interesting indeed. I found this snippet quite revealing as to the rationale of putler
"The Russian president has it in his head that the rules of the game were broken and destroyed not by Russia. And if this is a fight without rules, then it’s a fight without rules — the new reality in which we live..."
I guess in his twisted mind, he truly believes he is right. I am no psychiatry expert, but isn't this Schizophrenia?

I'm sick and in despair from reading how the civilians became the target - same as in Chechnya or Syria.
While I understand the fear of a nuclear strike, if Russia tried anything even close they would be hopefully sanitary-cordonned for good. They have already proven to be a de facto rogue state akin to North Korea. "Sanction us and we will nuke you".
I think the Europe has to really wake up and ratchet up the sanctions, and a nuclear (super) power should help with some drones or precision artillery reconnaissance and guidance to counter the barbarians shelling of cities and evakuees.

US secretary of state Blinken says Poland sending fighter jets to Ukraine gets a 'green light' from US.
That will get Putin chomping at the bit...................
The hold up was that Poland wanted shiny new US jets to replace the ancient MIG 29s they planned to give Ukraine.
If this is really happening there will be a lot of implications.

These are only effective if a lot of infrastructure is in place, otherwise they're just an easy target either on the ground or for anti aircraft systems. The drones seem to fall into a blind spot of the anti-aircraft systems, don't need large airports and still can fire powerful missiles.

And I read today they received new Baytaksomething as well as more Javelins and Stingers.
It is going to be interesting what Vova will say to the MiGs. They issued a "warning" today, so surely there will be some repsonse.

Would be far more effective. All this talk of sending fighter jets is verging on propaganda. Are they going to fly themselves? Let alone, maintain and operate them. Would take months to teach even experienced flight crews to keep them in the air properly.
