There's only three possibilities here:
1. This is a Russian launched missile.
2. This is a Russian-backed separatists launched missile.
3. This is a Ukrainian launched missile that was taken down by the Russian defenses.

We will probably never know the facts, but by looking at the way the soviets are conducting warfare, the way the separatists operate (Malaysia Airlines jet?) and the sheer amount of lies coming from them, I'm convinced this is a Russian attack.

Ukraine has absolutely no upside in "simulating" a Russian attack in order to show attack on civilian population as there are multiple confirmed examples of this happening already.

Yeah Russia are literally doing everything that could be simulated and there is no need to convince the world of their atrocities, so it is imo very likely Russian propaganda or at the very least an inadvertent isolated case of something going unintentionally wrong from the Ukraine side.

...and like this family there are many many more. I am in contact with a volunteer organisation in my home country and they had refugees from Ukraine but with Middle Eastern citizenship, their situation is very unclear. they are refugees but expected to return to their countries of origins, a thing that many can't or don't want to do. There are tons of lawyers and legal advisers who volunteer to clarify their situation and legal rights. What a mess. Most are students who want to continue their studies but of course it is a bit more complicated than just registering to the first university that accepts you.
