Although I don't think that the recent protests in Iran and the killing of so many people among whom many were children or youth just because someone's hair was "out of order" will consolidate that regime... https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-63242100
Back to what you've said, I think Ukraine will kick the Russian army out before anyone will throw them under the bus.
And I'll tell you why: they fight to protect their land, whereas the Russians fight to conquer other lands and people. More and more people over there will see how stupid and absurd that is....

But it is important to open the discussion. Since February, too few people and practically no politician has questioned this.

It's not in their interests to stop money going to their voters, even if it is coming from them as well.

Especially those from Putin, as we have already seen. Anyway he is mostly addressing the Russian public, who is since long adapted to the "newspeak" coming from a long line of autocratic leaders they have to endure.

Get the popcorn ready. Seems that a RAF aircraft was pootling around the Black Sea and was intercepted by Russian aircraft, during which one of the Reds „accidentally“ fired a missile.

Russia is not protecting their country now, in fact everything seems to go downhill...unfortunately a lot of folks over there have lost their ability to think logically.

Your and the “Russian POV” of this absolutely unnecessary war would be laughable if it weren’t for all the loss of life and destruction.

So they try to organize the new government while the current one is still holding up fairly strong. We have a saying in Poland "Don't divide the skin on a bear that is still alive" and so on...
But maybe it is how it usually functions during revolutions, I'm holding my thumbs.
As a Pole, somehow I'm feeling a bit uncomfortable that it happens in Poland. It's like with a nuclear plant - you know it needs to stand somewhere, but you prefer it not too close to your home.

I hope Poland won't become a target, well, no more than it actually is.
In other news, this is what the Baltic republics try to get through EU's foreign affairs agenda. (and rightly so) https://news.err.ee/1608754012/balti...ian-war-crimes | Quote: | | | | The Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian foreign ministers issued a joint statement ahead of Monday's EU Foreign Affairs Council, calling for the establishment of a special tribunal to punish Russia's crimes of aggression against Ukraine.
............................
The statement reads: "The rules-based international order, which we all strive to defend, cannot survive if there is impunity for the deeds that violate it most blatantly – genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and crime of aggression/.../ As Russia's brutal assault against Ukraine continues, the EU must act to ensure that seeking justice and accountability for Russia's horrific crimes in Ukraine is at the center of our policy." | | | | | Personally, I am not very confident that this will happen any time soon...even though a "reparation" is so much needed.

| | | | | losing a few battles ≠ losing the war. the end result is all that really matters.

Also shows that the Democrats on the left are still not getting it. Two weeks before the midterms, for f---s sake.

Russia’s ‘Dirty Bomb’ Ploy
By groundlessly suggesting that Ukraine is preparing to use a “dirty bomb,” the Kremlin is testing the West—and potentially provoking a nuclear standoff.
