Putin will simply double-down on his own people. Gulags will be re-opened or expanded, draconian punishment for dissent will be dished out, and people will be killed or simply disappear. Sanctioned rape (against both men and women) will become more prevalent.

I fear for the Russian population, and their upcoming descent into darkness.

Amazing clip of the late John McCain in 2015 on Russia's ambitions in Ukraine and beyond. Makes it clear how obvious to the informed foreign policy folks Putin's intentions should have been, and shocking how much Europe and Obama did not want so see this.

Clintons also said that Putin said that he did not agree to the deal where Ukraine traded their nukes for security and didn't feel bound by that agreement.

Document is in Russian, but what is really cool about the document is that it starts with "ORDER!". So, someone is ordering for these high tech industries to start developing today and be ready in 7 years. Russia is a true la la land.

Showing weakness to Russia also emboldened China and North Korea. United, these countries (with India and Brazil leaning on their side) do represent a threat to the world order we have become accustomed to.

It would be a good time for a coup when most of the Russian military is dying in the Ukraine. However presumably, the Presidential regiment is still in Moscow guarding the Kremlin.
Putin is believed to spend most of his time hiding in a bunker in the Urals so would be a long way from any coup, his nickname is "Bunker grandfather".

Igor Girkin and Wagner's head Yevgeny Prigozhin have been feuding for a long time so maybe just some more fictional stuff.

I think Ukraine has to be careful here. Attacks on Russian soil, especially non-military targets could be counter-productive. They are more likely to embolden Moscow's narrative rather than start a coup. Additionally, such attacks p*ss off Western countries who are supplying them with aid.
