Public interest and justice are not served.
Really? I totally disagree. The more the public know about it, the more it can be prevented. Victims also need to be able to make people aware of their plight, this can help them in may ways, also to seek compensation.

1) How? By avoiding contact with celebrities?

2) And money makes the problem go away?

Preventing similar things happening again in the future is a good thing - no doubt about that, but I remain unconvinced that raking up cases from (in this case) 50++ years ago, against someone dead for over a decade, really does provide anyone with any closure. And furthermore there is no way for the legal system to process the charges.

The police would be better off investigating current alleged assaults
