Man to be deported because UK wife doesn't earn enough

Breaking the rules has consequences. Came in on a tourist visa too, naughty, naughty.

Re: Man to be deported because UK wife doesn't earn enough

I knew a (high-earning) chap who couldn't bring his Nigerian wife into the UK - they considered it a sham marriage, despite them having been together for four years. And having a two-year old sprog.

So he got work in Switzerland and she joined him here.

But yes - don't break the rules in these kinds of cases. Any discretion that the officials could show will evaporate.
