According to this newspaper here (all in German) this Pakistan Politician Ghulam Ahmed Bilour has offered $200,000 to anyone who kills the owner of Charlie Hebdo
Difficult to know what should be the response to this? Pakistan belongs to Interpol so maybe some legal means like France requesting Bilour be extradited?

Oh, anyone got the owners address? | | | | | My first reaction was also "has he the money?". On the other hand there are many corrupt politicians who have plenty of money
I suppose if he did not pay he would receive a "freebie"!

Maybe they could donate it to some ISIS boss and have his own buddies do him in. Might be cheaper than the West having to do it themselves.

I hope the killers are somewhere they can look down and see the results of their actions. !!
The number of Charlie subscribers has increased from 8,000 to 200,000!!
The print run has been increased fifty times!!
They managed to change this minor and little known publication into a major magazine. | The following 3 users would like to thank marton for this useful post: | |

Islamic Human rights commission voted Charlie Hebdo as " Islamophobe of the year 2014".
Humor was feared by tyrants.

Charlie Hebdos repeated mocking of Muslims is part of a culture of hate that is intended to marginalise, further alienate and further endanger a community that has effectively been otherised in much the same way that Jews were in Nazi Germany."
Well, prior to the attack, didn't it repeatedly run anti-muslim pages? The language comparing it to Jews in Nazi Germany is too far, i agree.
Share the actual paragraph, instead of just a sensationalized snippet.
If humour is feared by tyrants, why are you posting this obviously humerous, tongue-in-cheek article as though it is terrible and something to be despised? Pot, Kettle....

The weekly Charlie print run now seems to have steadied at 1.5 million compared to 50,000 before the attack which is around an increase of 30 times.

You have the right to remain silent.
You have the right to refrain from criticising religion.
You have the right to violent response if you feel offended.

This fits with the BBC poll - "But 27% of the 1,000 Muslims polled by ComRes said they had some sympathy for the motives behind the Paris attacks"

You've never wondered why a conservative English Christian finds the constant insults hurled at Muslims and the things they consider holy utterly tiresome? This year it's them and theirs - maybe next year it'll be me and mine.
Shooting people for being obnoxious is out of order, but that doesn't mean the rest of us should suddenly decide that being obnoxious was actually a good thing after all.

The best way to understand Charlie Hebdo is to consider them as activists for atheism. No wonder any given religion consider the newspaper anti-them. But being ANTIsomething does not mean somethingPHOBE. I don't expect the something-people to understand.
