It is 100% clear that one of the two did it, that any reasonable person cannot dispute, Given that 1 of two choice it isn't too difficult to identify who was shouting from outside on an audio recording.

If there is a technical issue, yes it can take months to analyse. But when you know beyond doubt that someone deliberately pointed it at a mountain it can be a bit easier to analyse
Absolutely nothing is clear. It appears as if the first officer did it but there is absolutely no proof in it...and thus, it is simply an assumption.

Re: GermanWings A320 Down Near Digne, French Alps

I'm terrified of flying. I absolutely hate it.

But I was actually relieved when it was revealed that the crash was a deliberate act of a desperate person, because I understand that these things almost never happen.

Once the incident was filed in the same box as "Columbine" and "Sandy Hook", I was able to revert to my usual level of pre-flight fear.

... which admittedly is pretty high.

The way all the pieces seem to be fitting together (torn up medical note, piles of untouched antidepressants, potentially career ending eye degeneration, girlfriend's account of weird behaviour etc..) seems too convenient for my liking

I think what really happened is that someone from Germanwings put diesel into the tank instead of kerosene causing it to conk out over the Alps. They've been surreptitiously doing this for years to increase their gas mileage against manufacturer recommendations, but on that fateful day the operator mixed in too much diesel and rather than admit their mistake they're trying to pin it on the poor boy with this mother of all set-ups

I would believe this...but isn't jet a-1 a bit cheaper than diesel?

Jet A1 is really cheap and the VAT is low, it was 5% in the UK a few years ago.

Edit: Just checked; £0.91 + 5% VAT at a UK airport.

Yes but not as cheap as that red coloured farmer's diesel - who is going to go up to 10,000 ft to dip the tank?

Gas turbines run quite well on diesel.. you can put a match out in jet a1 too. We used to run the work vans exclusively on jet a1 and a few quarts of JETII oil.

HUbby is doing a lot of flying, last night he chose the Netflix film- it terrified me, it literally had me out of my seat, standing fixated and horrified. I continued watching it, hoping that they didn't all end badly. I did ask him to turn it off, it traumatized me. http://charlievictorromeo.com/

Diesel, liquid gas or natural gas. Palm tree oil? http://www.scientificamerican.com/ar...lm-oil-flight/

Because it's none of your focking business. Even a deceaseds' rights supercede your (and the rest of the worlds') nosiness, and rightfully so.

The life of a mass-murderer is to be investigated very thoroughly, whatever his rights

Sounds fascinating, I will watch that later! My favourite programme ever is Air Crash Investigation … I should have worked for the AAIB.

He certainly would be if he was a 'terrorist' (eg not 'Caucasian').

Re: GermanWings A320 Down Near Digne, French Alps

So just to recap, the co-pilot had depression, so "big pharma" needs to cover this up by shifting the focus to the budget airline that waters down their gas to save money, and then the airline in turn shifts the focus to racism, since the pilot was white. Ok, go it. I'm so glad to get my news updates via EF
