Human tragedy for British tourists

This first world problem deserves its own thread:

I love the Daily Mail, but I think I'm going to have to uninstall the app for this one.

Bastards.

Yes. Indeed. It is such a pity that such such civilised people have their holidays ruined by exposure to such undignified scenes. Especially so as the English are well known for their high and exacting standards.

Re: Human tragedy for British tourists

Very mixed on this topic, on the one hand I think that it would ruin your holiday, it would ruin mine that´s for sure, on the other hand... Yeh, you made it to Europe where money is just strewn all over the streets and you just need to pick it up.
Fact is that I would do almost anything to help the refugees fleeing from war, but most of those displaced persons are in the camps in Africa, India and Pakistan, the majority of so-called refugees that reach Europe have been sent there by their villages or families to find work, earn money and send it back to the village. When you read about "refugees" refusing to be rescued by Maltese or Greek ships instead demanding rescue by Italian vessels, or refusing to get off a cruise ship in Limassol and demanding to be taken to Italy one tends to become cynical.
Reminds me of artwork by the great late Jan Sanders

Why? I thought it was just for this kind of outrageous and stupid journalism that you read it for, not to mention anger porn. That's the sole reason why I read it.
