Mass meetings with music and fun have never happened under Marxism and its assorted flavours.

Unless it's a May Day parade, something with tanks and missiles, celebration of dear leaders, etc
One of the interesting things I think is the way he attracts such a huge young vote which then Tapers away, generally speaking, as people get older. When i was 18 going out raving and knocking back all sorts of things I was quite certain that I was gong to open a nightclub for a career and without many real responsibilities or pressure on my life that seemed great - everyone should just be a clubber I thought no matter where they are from. Fast forward 27 years and with a mortgage a wife 3 kids and an office job paying the bills my outward looking 'let's just all live in one happy commune man and eat a big pot of stew each night together' has been replaced with the hard realities of bringing in enough bacon to provide for the family.

I sort of think this follows jezza's voting patterns sometimes. He's great on ideals, but he's a bit short on reality.

You do have a good point, but I believe it's more than that. If you've always followed liberal and left wing politics, and are my age or older, you'll have pretty set ideas of who Corbyn is. I was 18 when he became an MP. I remember his rebel voting, leadership coup attempt, both of his arrests (including the one he hotly denies), his heavy involvement in extreme left wing politics and the SWP who were the bane of my years as a trade union rep. There was a time when every left wing group he was involved with was getting banned from PLP membership for being too far left, and for damned good reason.

The hysteria around him is largely coming from people who hadn't heard of him 3yrs ago.

Re: Another great Jeremy Corbyn idea!

I despise him, he has an ugly mouth, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeremy_Corbyn

After the terrible apartment block fire in Kensington London, Corbyn tries to make it into a political argument, and blames the Conservatives for dangerous buildings.

The present Labour MP for Kensington was on the management commitee of Grenfell Tower, but Jeremy Corbyn ignores this fact.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grenfe...nd_maintenance

Quote from above: the council's response to the Grenfell Tower fire has been subject to widespread criticism. Council member Emma Dent Coad, also the newly elected Labour MP for the area (Kensington constituency) and a former board member of the landlord KCTMO ( Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation) accused the council of having failed and betrayed its residents.

We now know the danger of flammable cladding problem is widespread, and not restricted to just Britain.

Jeremy Corbyn has been accused of being an IPA sympathiser

Notice the well planted empty cup marked "Thatcher's Gold" and the fact that while Jerry's cup is clearly half full, the supply appears to have dried up.

It's staged, but art represents reality.

So cynical... you all. Though I think a proper IPA pourer (like him) knows that you should stop halfway for a 10 second pause to let the beer settle, he may have got the idea to bartend for the masses from Obama who served food for Whitehouse parties with Michelle.

The labour strategists though are clever because we wouldn't see the Maybot doing this. Another great JC (strategists) idea!

The UK leader spoke after Labour said it is committing itself to continued UK membership of the EU single market and customs union during a transition period following the official Brexit date of March 2019.

Will never happen without the other parts of the 4 major EU principles, i.e. free movement. As usual most British MPs are still smoking dream weed while May recognises that a hard exit is the only one that meets the referendum's goals: leave the EU completely.

Of course it is not going to happen. And even if it was a possibility, the time to change policy was before the election giving voters an alternative, not afterwards when they can't react to it. On the other hand the tories dream of BREXIT plus benefits is not going to happen either.

The UK needs a real leader, but all they have is a bunch of politicians who react to public opinion.

I still reckon Corbyn and May will be gone by the end of the year. There's too many people whispering in corridors regarding both of them. Just can't see the glint of light in the knives yet.

That may well be.

I think May is more at risk that Corbyn, because Corbyn is still very popular among the party's support base, and anybody who takes him down will be hated by large chunks of the party. I think his enemies will bide their time until the tide turns .

May on the other hand ... I'm more worried about what could replace her.

Same here. I don't see an overall candidate, more someone who can be shuffled into place to do the bidding of others. For Labour, I currently only see Chuka Umunna, but he's still a little too wet behind the ears for me. I'm sure we could both put together a Frankenstein's monster of a leader for both parties.

Pleeeaaassseeeeeee noooooooo!

Thanks to the inimitable Steven Bell, I can only see Bojo as an Old English Sheep Dog, and I've always only seen Corbweasel as a goat. 'The Dog and Goat' sounds like a pub, and that exactly the level of politics those two indulge in.
