It's the Nobel Peace Prize, not a beauty pageant.

We all know by now the Nobel Peace Prize is a tool for political agendas. I'd point to that one.

Re: Nobel Peace Prize 2015

I would like to see the Noble Peace Prize awarded to Saudi Arabia for the important work it has done in the field of Human Rights. Of course, the UN has already given some recognition to Saudi Arabia's valuable contribution to this area by appointing it to head one of the UN Human Rights panels, but somehow this does not seem an adequate reward for its [the Saudis] tireless endeavours to support the betterment of mankind. Such an award would also go someway to correcting some of the image loss that the Nobel Peace Prize has suffered of late, following a series of unfortunate appointments, which have slightly diminished the prestige of this important prize.

Re: Nobel Peace Prize 2015

I would vote for the Colombian peace accord; all then others are humanitarian causes (eg Merkel), or some political bullshit (eg Snowden).

They slipped from nobility. They didn't invite 2m refugees to resettle in peace and now they have to pay the prize

I thought some of the pro-gun posts on the U.S. gun thread were so far fetched that they must have been sarcastic but apparently not.
People really think like that.

A slap on the wrist for writing style. But, Sir/Madam, it really was more succinct than to argue the comment. Emoticons have their own merits, in this case the visual aid conveys the message faster than words.

Just to be 100% clear, if I ever write anything pro-gun, it's sarcastic.

Sepp Blatter rocks.

Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet have won it. Fair result, I'd say.
