If overall tourism to Egypt is falling off because people are worried about terrorism, shouldn't casual tourists be the hardest hit group.
It hasn't 'fallen off'. It's gone through the floor.

Quote:
“You cannot call what’s happening a drop, it’s a collapse,” said Amani El-Torgoman, board member of the Egyptian Tourism Federation. “There is definitely an overreaction to the plane crash, and it is devastating.”

Oh i get it, this nomad character is a hardcore christian, animals on the ark type, stone the gays, you know the sort, because there are only hardcore religious types in the world. if a religious book says something, that's it, definitive, all people born into the catchment areas of the major religions have no other choice but to follow the laws of pointless old men.
I am an atheist, actually. Lazy attempt on your part.

Re: All about Muslims (in the wake of terrorist attacks in Europe)

An SVP parliamentarian was interviewed on a TV talk show last night. They were talking about the new ban on Burka. He was saying that some children saw someone in a Burka and were terrified. He said this is another reason to ban it. I know of some people who were afraid when they first saw a black person. These SVP are all retarded.

It's normal that children are scared of people who cover their face. Children are very sensitive to facial expressions and learning judge them is very important to their development.

The flip side of the argument is that no woman wearing a Burka would ever be allowed work in a school, so it it's irrelevant when discussing a ban. What you wear in private is no business of the state, however I think private companies, schools, state employers etc. should be free to impose a ban if they wish.

If someone wears a Burka then you dont even see their facial expression? And when you let private companies etc do as they want then it could get even worse.Which is evident in state of the world today.

If it is no business of the state, then schools and state employers should impose whatever some individual or group which is employed by the state pleases and then it is somehow magically no longer the state which is interfering?

Private companies should be free to implement whatever racist or religious agenda they see fit? Perhaps states should hand over free speech or voting rights to the private sector.

Perhaps I have completely misunderstood what you are trying to say... I hope so.

No, adults just understand that there is a good chance that they won't be able to effectively communicate with that person.

It's simpelz. Do what you want in your own time. Don't impose your backward beliefs on others or expect special treatment because of them.

You can't be an effective teacher when your face is covered. You can't conduct effective negotiations if you look like a Ringwraith.

I find it amazing how people don't seem to understand (or more likely, willfully ignore) the impact of facial emotions, and how critical they are to human communication in our society. It is simply indefensible, baffling even, to suggest that anyone with their face covered should be allowed to teach in Western schools.

It has been claimed (I think including by you) that many of the mulsims behind the recent spate of terrorist attacks in Europe had pyschological problems of some sort.

While I agree that they are predominately greedy, ignorant and selfish, I find your comment to be deeply offensive to those with learning and physical difficulties, they would not want to be compared to any supporter of the SVP. So lets try to keep this discussion PC please
