But what do I know.
Btw if I understood correctly that woman from the article has funded a support organisation so no wonder she attracted all sort of bigots.

The most pertinent part of the article for me was the fact that because the only people who will report on harassment of Muslim apostates are right wing publications, the Muslim apostates are getting accused of being associated with those right wing publications.
Nice, eh?

Nice, eh? | | | | | You mean like | Quote: | | | | | | | | | | or | Quote: | | | | | My dear Pashosh, if somebody lies extensively about their background and makes a fortune milking the right-wing lecture circuit then I think they rather discredit themselves.

US military drops -offensive- propaganda leaflets in Afghanistan, depicting a dog wearing an ISIS flag. The offensive part is that the ISIS flag has a holy Islamic text written on it, and is being worn by a filthy, unholy dog.
Imams are mad that the US military has 'offended 1.8 billion Muslims'. Afghan politicians call for more jihad:
'Those who are waging jihad for uprooting the Jews and Christians, and the infidel Americans who are disrespecting our religion, their feet are worthy of being kissed, Abdul Satar Khawasi, a member of the Afghan Parliament...'
article here
Don't hold your breath for any imams to come out speaking about how ISIS has disrespected Islam by stealing an Islamic text for it's flag...
An interesting question is raised: The ISIS flag contains so-called sacred text. Is it then considered apostasy to destroy an ISIS flag?

Afghanis have very keen eyesight - they can read such small letters and get offended. miracles never cease. Not that anyone has the interest in riling up a rent-a-croud or anything.
Note also that the leaflets were dropped - Afghanistan is still isn't safe enough to simply drive thru.

However, the rest of your argument stands...it's ridiculous. Well, for normal people at least.

Here's another article showing a picture of the 'offensive' leaflet: https://counterjihadreport.com/2017/...ze-to-muslims/
The sacred text on the dog is the Shahada, saying 'There is no God but Allah. Muhammed is the messenger of Allah.'
It turns out that it is also found on the flags of Islamic State, al-Qaida, al-Shabaab, Boko Haram, and Hamas, among others.
Here's a helpful guide: http://www.motherjones.com/politics/...banners-hamas/ |

This article from WSJ was linked in the above twitter link from DB: https://www.wsj.com/articles/SB122669909279629451
""We had no idea he would have ideas like this," says Thomas Bauer, a fellow academic at Münster University who sat on a committee that appointed Prof. Kalisch. "I'm a more orthodox Muslim than he is, and I'm not a Muslim."
"Germany's Muslim Coordinating Council withdrew from the advisory board of Prof. Kalisch's center. Some Council members refused to address him by his adopted Muslim name, Muhammad, saying that he should now be known as Sven."
"Alarmed that a pioneering effort at Muslim outreach was only stoking antagonism, Münster University decided to douse the flames. Prof. Kalisch was told he could keep his professorship but must stop teaching Islam to future school teachers."
couldn't make it up...

Even as an atheist, I was more orthodox in my theology than he was! |
