As long as he's willing to move to a country and pay taxes & risks to support the policies he espouses I have no problem with it - he's not - ergo hypocrite.
I live in Switzerland, clearly you do not know there is a large Muslim population here (same percentage as the rest of Western Europe) and many refugees

This thread is entitled "Do you believe in Merkel?" consequently I posted about Western Europe? What happens in the rest of the world is off topic and irrelevant
Which explains why importing large numbers of people from continents and belief systems different from Europe has been working out so well ... uh wait...

When one compares this to the acceptance of Poland of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian refugees in precisely the same time window the absurdity of your position becomes all the more clear.

I clearly quoted the sources for my numbers, I decided to include only major terrorist incidents which was clearly defined in my source.
So where are your sources?
bend and twist, bend and twist...

My sources are where your answers to my questions are, not in this topic....

AfD on the rise again according to the latest poll. Third biggest party now.

The OH was listening to Deutschlandfunk this morning and she says there was an opinion piece by a guy saying that it's so wonderful to see all the parties (apart from the AfD) being in such close agreement over virtually everything. This only proves, so he said, what inner peace the Germans have found and how wonderful everything is.

When did I ever say I believe in Merkel?
However a voting majority of Germans do; over 30%!

I wrote that for the average German she delivers what they want, positive economy, rising wages and low unemployment.
Well, you certainly don't miss an opportunity to defend her.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel warned the U.K. on Saturday that it would have to pay a settlement to leave the EU, denying that the obligation amounted to a “fine.”

“This is about obligations that Great Britain has entered into and that naturally must remain on the books,”

Does this surprise you?

According to Merkal

- Eastern Europe is evil and must be punished
- UK is bad and must be punished
- USA is bad and must be punished
- Turkey is bad and must be punished

Oh, any I wonder why so many people have stopped liking us?

Certainly nothing to do with Merkel.

Any thread with Parnell in it inevitably descend into a monologue about how the moozlims are all terrible and want to eat your babies and enslave your cats.

Par for the course. Like an annoying mosquito near a water hole on an otherwise pristine golf course, we just have to accept that parnell will pop up where he is least wanted.
I'm sure very shortly the mods will be along to warn you about personal attacks etc.

I am however surprised in your interest in bourgeois golf courses... surely such a betrayal of the proletariat cannot go unpunished ??

Only 5-12% more and she can get in the ballpark with Trump's approval rating!

Quote:
As of Monday, Trump's approval rating stands at 35 percent with Gallup and 42 percent with Rasmussen. Trump's 35 percent approval rating is his lowest favorable ranking with Gallup in the month of August, despite daily dips to 34 percent on August 24 and August 18.

Not only that, but unless something totally unexpected happens in the next few weeks, the upcoming election is going to be a stroll in the park for her.

Not only is she herself very popular but Schultz is proving particularly ineffective.

The speculation right now doesn't really seem to be about how high Merkel will win, but how badly Schultz will lose.

Which part of that article is "news"?

Seems to me like the local doing its typical thing and copy-pasting from stuff that's mostly old and gluing it together with fluff.

According to Merkal Merkel

- Eastern Europe is evil and must be punished
- UK is bad and must be punished
- USA is bad and must be punished
- Turkey is bad and must be punished

Oh, any I wonder why so many people have stopped liking us?

Certainly nothing to do with Merkel.
Defending people against unfair attacks does not make one a supporter! You will know there is a difference between a sufficient condition and a necessary condition.

Who is "us"? EF, Switzerland? According to your profile you are from the UK!

Re: Do you believe in Merkel?

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has demanded the release of German citizens detained in Turkey, describing their imprisonment as "unjustified" on Tuesday.

In July, Turkish authorities arrested German human rights activist Peter Steudtner and nine others, charging them with "committing crimes in the name of a terrorist organization without being a member."

Source

Good move by Merkel, hope the prisoners are released.

This phrasing is one for lawyers:
The main accusation here sounds to be acting in the name of a group one is not a member of.

The arrest occured on 5th July.

Not sure why it took so long for her to protest.

Maybe because Merkel reads The Local?
