The New York terror attack took up a fair bit of time yesterday.
BBC news at 10 is a 30 minute slot so they have to prioritise news, it's different from the dedicated news channels like a Sky news which broadcast news all day long.
BBC News 24 would be more comparable to Sky news really.

It was the key news of the day- a massive defeat for the GVT in the Commons. Fallon's resignatin was probably (clearly actually) timed to sideline this. 100s including myself have sent official complaints to BBC. ITV News covered it extensively.

Normally government votes are minor stories unless its an election as Joe Public does not give a shit.

First Brexit success
The number of European Union nurses and midwives registering to work in Britain fell by almost 90 percent in the 12 months to September, according to the first full-year figures since the U.K. voted to leave the bloc.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council said Thursday that the number of EU nationals joining the profession here was 10,178 in the year to Sept. 2016 and 1,107 in the year to Sept. 2017.
The number of EU nurses and midwives leaving the profession also rose sharply. Source |

The EU directive does not prevent the NHS from carrying out English language tests, but just like with the FMOP and the option to send people home, the UK decided not to do it....

Labour is to warn ministers on Monday that they risk being held in contempt of parliament if they do not immediately release dozens of papers outlining the economic impact of Brexit.
The leader of the Commons, Andrea Leadsom, said on Thursday that the government accepted the motion as binding, and that “the information will be forthcoming”.
Meanwhile, the governor of the Bank of England, Mark Carney, has said the Brexit referendum has stalled Britain’s growth at a time when global conditions mean it should be booming – and warned that the Bank would not be able to intervene to stimulate growth if a bad deal pushed inflation higher.
Carney said: “Since the referendum, business investment has picked up, but not any of the extent one would have expected, given how strong the world is and easy financial conditions are. It should really be booming and it’s just growing.” Source

Meanwhile the ECB want higher inflation/interest rates as it would allow more room for maneuver should another financial crisis hit. Perhaps someone should show Mark Carney this graph: |

On the news now 'The Paradise Papers' and what it is all about : http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk...-a8039041.html
(and how very embarrassing for HRH)
secrecy, poorly regulated and open to vast corruption.
£75 to £180 billion estimate lost in taxes due to UK.

Just to remind you there is nothing illegal in anyone investing offshore, only failing to report & pay any tax lability is illegal unless your Swiss tax resident where tax evasion is usually not a crime.
