It's quite touching, seeing an internet tough guy trying to start fights on the internet with people he perceives as being internet tough guys.

Re: Double bombing at Brussels airport

Apparently there were celebrations in several places in Belgium following the Brussels attacks:

Quote:
In the days following terrorist attacks in Brussels, street celebrations broke out in several places in Belgium, Vice Prime Minister Jan Jambon said Wednesday.
Also regarding the argument whether there were 'riots' or not:

Quote:
“It is, to me, highly shocking that after Abdeslam’s arrest, 200 young people of foreign origin hurled spontaneously bottles and stones at our police,” Bourgeois said. “It is regrettable that we saw nothing of these images on national television news.”

VRT, the Flemish public broadcaster, said it did not report about the incident for technical reasons, and not out of a desire to silence it.

These stories invariably turn out to be false or at best exaggerated, usually written by people with some ulterior motive.

Belgium's Interior Minister told this to the Wall Street Journal. I find people who down-play or dismiss these kind of reports as "false" to be having some kind of ulterior motive

Quote:
Mr. Jambon said Belgium’s problems with radical Islam are deeply rooted in society. After last week’s attacks, people in certain parts of Brussels were celebrating, he said. The minister added that during the March 18 police raid in Molenbeek that captured Salah Abdeslam, the last fugitive Paris attacker, several youngsters were filmed throwing stones and bottles at police forces.

You said something similar in January after the Cologne NYE attacks...

I think there are just too many people with agendas, desperately looking for anything to support those e.g. refugees out
And it turned out to be true.

"several youngsters were filmed throwing stones and bottles at police forces."¨

Several? So many?
Anybody seen this film?

I suppose Belgium is a tiny country so has tiny riots?

Interior Minister Jan Jambon failed to say anything about typical riot elements like;
  • Water cannon
  • Rubber Bullets
  • Police Baton charges
  • Burned out cars
  • Injured people rushed to hospital.

Maybe there was no riot?

Re: Double bombing at Brussels airport

Here are some more (translated) articles from Belgium:

"It is for me a very scary that 200 young people with an immigrant background come together spontaneously after the arrest of Salah Abdeslam to pelt our police with stones and bottles," said Geert Bourgeois during a statement to the "Vereniging voor international relaties" (VIRA, Association for international Relations)

http://www.brusselnieuws.be/nl/nieuw...k-niet-uitzond

http://www.sudinfo.be/1519166/articl...s-aient-occult

http://www.dewereldmorgen.be/artikel...et-de-mijne-is

So if he is correct and there were 200 youths throwing rocks and bottles at the police, well, that falls under my definition of a riot.

Apparently Belgian Imams won't pray for the victims of the attack, because it's against Islam to pray for non-Muslims

Geert Bourgeois was not there and has yet to provide his source for his claim of "200 people".

The interior minister said "several" people; since he is in charge of the police then presumably he gets his information directly from them?

Geert Bourgeois leads a party that has the aim to split Flanders from Belgium. He often criticises the Govt. and was once forced to resign from his Ministerial role in the Flemish Parliament following his party's no confidence vote in the federal government.

The Imam in the video who wouldn't pray for the victims was trying to be nice and expressing "solidarity" with the victims...as other Imams layed flowers.......but yet his religious beliefs seemed to disallow him to pray for non-Muslims Weird. But then religion is often weird, which is why I'm not for any hard-core religious people and prefer a secular society.

Yeah but the interior minister Jan Jambon also wasn't there. And neither were you.

And he also acknowledged that ''street celebrations had broken out in various cities in his country last week celebrating the Brussels terrorist attack''

Nope I wasn't.
But that's why I provided three different articles from Belgium all asserting what Geert Bourgeois said : 200 youths were throwing stones and bottles at the police.

As well as the article where the Jan Jambon admitted that people in Belgium were celebrating the terror attacks in Brussels.

If you don't agree that's fine, but take it up with the media and the politician who is saying it, not me.

A strike by police officers has delayed plans to partially reopen Brussels airport to passenger flights.
Airport police officers have withdrawn their cooperation, citing widespread security shortcomings, “questionable” left-luggage procedures and the alleged employment of minority ethnic workers with criminal records.

Are you referring to the open letter from the police that there are an alleged 50 Islamic State sympathizers who are working at Zaventem Airport?

If you are then it seems rather wrong to state the problem is 'minority ethnic workers with criminal records'
