I voted yes, but now that I think of it, I should have voted no. In spite of having clicked on the button I would now like to claim my legal right to change my mind. Oh wait, it isn't Friday yet.
I think the smart money should vote for Clinton, her previous activities would seem to provide a more fertile ground for impeachment proceedings than trying to impeach Trump for just being a dork. I don't think either of them will be good for America, so the strategy should be to make the term as short as possible.

I am undecided what will happen. Would be interesting to hear opinions of American citizens. Some friends who are Republicans said they would vote Trump, rather than vote any democrat (despite disagreeing with his views). Not sure if that is a prevailing opinion.
I believe there are slightly more Democrats (31% of Americans) than Republicans (29% of Americans). Then again, the independents (38%) seem to overall lean more to the Republican Party and it appears Republicans are voting more than Democrats this year... https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...r-in-november/ | This user would like to thank for this useful post: | |

Just a what if....
...Trump doesn't make it to November for whatever reason. What would happen then?

Looking at the trend that DT has gone beyond expectations in virtually every aspect and has defied every skeptic, I think he will win. Sigh. But he will.
No one actually expected him to last even till Super Tuesday and not only did he not last, but he obliterated every other candidate one by one!
Brace for some serious impact..

My opinion is that Trump is far worse than Clinton. He has no clue of how government works.
A business is there to earn a profit, a government is responsible for the lives of its citizens. Not exactly the same goals. So you can't run a government like a business. And this neoliberal bullshit is simply that. Bullshit.
Clinton is too centrist for my taste and owes too much to big business. However, all of these "scandals" she seems to be involved in turn out to nothing when explored more carefully. Benghazi, email seem to be more distractions offered by the Republicans than anything else.
So, I will vote for Clinton if she is the Democratic nominee. I'd vote for Sanders too. No way in hell would I vote for a Republican.
I see the Republicans as a party of obstruction. Democrats haven't been much better - trying to negotiate rather than act. I think the US would be better served if the Dems had put their feet down more often.
So I can see why people find Trump appealing. However, he is dangerously inexperienced and uninformed. And I see a lot of misogyny directed at Clinton. It just sucks.
I have no idea what would happen if Trump is no longer the nominee - what are you thinking? He's denied by the Republican party? I guess that would entail putting another person in. And that could be a mess, given the way Trump supporters behave. Or are you thinking violence against Trump? In that case, I don't know - not sure it would fall to the VP candidate.

This is very similar to a poll I was going to run with two loser options:
If you had to have ISIS remove your genitals, which option would you prefer?
a) Acid
b) Blunt pair of scissors
America has already lost this election, Clinton will win because it's her destiny, but you have two piss poor options.

Back in the day, there was a gangland punishment that was somewhat similar round our way. They'd put your knackers in a bench vice with a hacksaw in reach, then set fire to the garage / shed. | This user would like to thank Blueangel for this useful post: | |

I don't think Trump will win even if he has the votes. As long as doesn't play nice with the actual power behind the scene he'll not win.
I don't like Trump but America needs a bit of instability within ( ) to stay out of other countries, and Trump is the one guy who can deliver that.

@EDOT - I agree with a lot of what you said - the major problem is that there is still a huge chunk of America that is a little bit simple - and who listen to Trump marketing and believe what he says is true, valid and reasonable.
He says the things they want to hear - immigrants blow us up, muslims kill our soldiers, Mexicans steal our jobs, you are blameless.
Ultimately "you" get a country you deserve - whether that be a hugely corrupt legal system, a 200k degree college system, a traction-less government, massive tax breaks to huge corporations, a health and social system that fails to support the most needy, and a employment situation where only the rich live in comfort.
I find it hard to "blame" Trump or his supporters (and voters) for the fact he is the Republican's ticket. The fact he is there is the result of decades of poor management of the country and its people by successive governments from both sides. I have said it before, when I was growing up we (Brits) still looked at America as great - we even glossed over the hell-hole that New York had become. Everything was shiny and fantastic, the people were happy and wealthy and their lives were good. We swallowed the sugar coated pull as happily as America's only people.
30-40 years down the road they are starting to reap what they sowed.
(Don't get me wrong, I have nothing directly against Americans. I have numerous friends that are Americans - and I don't mean it a patronizing "I've got a gay/black/jewish/muslim friend type way - I simply never really understand how they have allowed themselves (as a country) to get to where they are - and be proud of it).
(Off to have a large G&T and hark back to the days of the Raj)

As one pundit (can't remember who) put it:
"Clinton could end up being our worst president.
But Trump could be our last."
---
Rock and a hard place.
I'll probably vote 3rd party or write-in, even though I would be 'throwing away' my vote. Most of my life I've ended up voting against the worst of the lot rather than voting for someone or something I believe in - and I'm sick of it. This time the two options just varying degrees of awful; I just can't hold my nose and vote anymore.
Come 9 November I think I'll pull the covers up over my head and cocoon for the next 4 years.
