As I've said it wouldn't happen even though Turkey implemented those too.

It would need approval of every member which is never gonna happen.

BTW EU waivered visa-free travel to many countries in South America and other countries which are corrupt

That criteria made me laugh

Also can you give the link of this page?
Here is the link.

Please provide your link to support your dubious claim that "Turkey implemented those too".

"That criteria made me laugh" What makes you laugh is not relevant, what is relevant is Turkey accepted these conditions then failed to deliver.

I didn't make such a claim!

I said it wouldn't make a difference even if they did.

That was a lack of English mistake, marton. I noticed it but understood what Thomaz meant

A deal is a deal, if Turkey had delivered then the EU had to agree!

Whilst MSM scrabble around with a banner on their website during a breaking news story, Twitter has photos, live video feed, identified individuals involved and can tell you what they breakfast.

But you just stick to the Guardian website. It tells you want you want to read after all.

The fraud will not change anything anymore though, that's the point.
When I said the following on March 29th:

... I was told:
<<Yes, I do..in a world where the USA elections are questioned, yes i do believe the voting will be as fair as theirs. >> by DarkBlue who seems to be Turkish? He/she was right I guess .... it was as fair as theirs only less professionally covered up?

However, I doubt very much anything can be changed now. The whole thing was a scam and Erdoğan never really pretended otherwise, did he?
That was me...the discussion was on abroad voting and counting and there are no issues there.

What happened in Turkey is a different topic. Noone could have expected that the governing authority makes such illegal decision...which by the way is not published on their official declaration yet. I see that this is not discussed here yet.

It is clear that the election authority is not standing behind their decision,it is unlikely but still very much possible that the referendum will be cancelled.

I know it was you and when I wrote my post end of March I meant the entire election.
I'm not sure no one could have expected those illegal decisions - we've seen their actions before the abroad elections started. Also there were issues during abroad voting (Turks in Switzerland who were suddenly not registered at the places they had voted for years etc. ) I know it was the Blick (someone posted it on here) - and I don't read the Blick - but it was a Video and I doubt Blick would go so far to cut one so it would show different facts.

I don't blame you for believing it would be okay, I was hoping you would be right and I'm glad to hear that there could be a possibility that the referendum will be cancelled. I guess, a second round could thwart some of Erdoğan's power-game. Of course it could produce some more angry pros but it could also let some opponents raise the courage to vote as they really want to. Let's face it, it was dangrous to vote no, with eyes and ears everywhere. And as I mentioned before - I value eacht no-voter's courage.

Re: What is happening in Turkey tonight?

Turkish authorities arrested more than 1,000 people today they said had secretly infiltrated police forces across the country on behalf of a U.S.-based cleric blamed by the government for a failed coup attempt last July.

Even though Erdogan won the referendum he still sees "terrorists" everywhere!

officially, no..the final results are not revealed yet. The opposition is now taking the case to European court.

However, I doubt the European court will accept the case.

Eventually?

Turkey today blocked all access to Wikipedia and banned television dating shows.

ca. 4,000 public officials were dismissed by Turkey today, on April 26 more than 1,000 people were detained and over 9,100 police suspended.

Source

Actually I could be OK with banning television dating shows.

Re: What is happening in Turkey tonight?

A Basle policeman was arrested last Thursday for allegedly accessing Swiss police records of Erdogan critics and sending data to an AKP linked organisation.
He was freed but continues to be investigated.

You know that's how these things start! "Ah well, that's alright...", "okay, I can live with that ..." and boom you lost your freedom.
